Thanks for the Ride Itinerary, Roy! Zonies will peel off East at Ocotillo, I will start a thread on this at Southwest FJR Section, to attract more AZ Desert Rats for this ride.

Outstanding Don.... Maybe it'll get these SoCal maybes and no-shows to man up and protect their FJR turf.

It'll be great day either way.

There's a bar/ restaurant and gas at Ocotillo so it's a good jumping off point for you guys heading east.

Beemers and FJR's in the same sandbox? It's a blue moon and the stars have aligned!

Look forward to this. Shaping up to be a memorable day carving thru the hills!

Please put me on the maybe list. I am driving back from Mammoth with the family on the 26th and will be in town that week. This looks like a fun ride.

So Cal Dudes, A long time friend of mine and many years AZ Beemers Member is going to join up with us. Bill Z. now lives in San Diego and rides a BMW K1200RS.

Don,

We moved to San Diego about six months ago. Keep this thread posted with the details. I've got to be somewhere the afternoon of Monday, December 27 but can meet you guys before that.

This is where I'm forced to ride now:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You and Yours, Bill! Looking forward to meeting up with you and riding some miles with you. I love San Diego County and I know you're enjoying it too! My cell phone is 480-440-4666 and I'll have my laptop: [email protected]

Brother Roy, Please add two more attendees to the list: David Ashbaugh and Gordie Thomas. I have to warn everybody, these guys are both Canadians; and, we all know too damn well about those trouble makers! Actually, Dave is Miss Barb's neighbor up in Black Creek, British Columbia. They are snowbirds who over winter in Yuma, Arizona and they are BMW K1300GT Owner/Riders.

AZ Beemers is rolling out the "Big Bavarian Iron" for this ride; so put your "game faces" on, you So Cal Mooks!

(We'll leave from Circle K located at the Southwest Corner of AZ 347 and 238; then on to Interstate 8. Up through Julian to Temecula, California.)

Hi Don; (Oh fearless leader etc., etc.,)

There are two of us AZB's over in Yuma that would like to tag along, Gordie Thomas and myself. Are you stopping for coffee in Yuma? If you are just traveling through on slab #8, we can meet at the CA Agricultural check point as you have to slow down anyway, or just meet in Temecula. I'll likely see you over at the IMS so we can talk.

David
David, Send me your phone number at either 480-440-4666 or [email protected] I'll call you just as we depart Maricopa and we will arrange the meet.

Well, there goes the damn neighborhood; and on a fecking Hondoo Lead Wing, no less! Roy Bro', add FJRobert - Wolfhound to the list. Sergeant Ashby will be bunking with SkooterG and Papa Chuy at the Temecula Downtown Ramada Inn on Sunday night 12/26.

If I can swing a few bucks after Christmas I may make it also, I know, back of the bus . . .
If you think you can make this Robert (I hope), let me know ASAP; I'm booking a room with 2 beds at the Ramada, one for SkooterG and one for Papa Chuy.

I can have the Ramada place a roll away bed in the room and we can split the room costs three ways. Normally, Gold Wing guys have to sleep on the floor!!

The room is only $90, so this is a real cheap ride; just cost of fuel and food, and any speeding tickets you get trying to keep us with Sir Richard "Fairlaner"!!!

Hard to turn that down! I'm in and if something comes up I'll still pay unless someone else uses it. No reason I can think of to hold me back, if I just eat a bit cheap & throttle on! Throttle on very lightly for me . . .
OK, Wolfhound is 100% confirmed. Now SkooterG is getting wishy-washy, he had a hair appointment at the Scottsdale Beauty Salon for 11am on 12/27; but he is hoping he can reschedule it!

SoCal Ride Monday the 27th

Meet at Temecula Shell @ SW corner of 15 and 79

Meet at Nessie Burgers (Mobil) @ NW corner of 15 and 76

(the exit to Pala casino off 15).

FYI, this is the same meet-up as the January 2010 Pines to Palms ride and for the AZ crew, about 12 miles south of Temecula

.... so your hotel in Temecula is still the best option, although the Pala Casino has a big 'ol hotel as well.

On looking over the mileage and timing on this planned ride, it was too short for a full morning.

I'm re-routing to include rte. 76 up to Palomar (stop) and Warner Springs (top up), then as planned: Pines to Palms (stop at lookout), La Quinta (lunch: early option), Borrego (lunch: later option), etc.

This is about +/-4 hours to La Quinta including three stops, so the 8am KSU stays as is.

I'll post up the map shortly.

KSU 8am

Confirmed:

McRide

Fairlaner

Jorstin

DJBill

BeemerDon

SkooterG

Pegscraper

Lawrence

Slappy

SnowAviation

David Ashbaugh

Gordie Thomas

Wolfhound

Maybe:

LAroo

BillZ

Cometman

FJStar

Hycycle
Bump with Changes

Morning RTE route....

Fishermans in La Quinta, shown as the 'E' tag, opens Mondays at 11am.

Good food, fast service, so that's the lunch stop at around noon

Considered Borrego 'F' as a late option for lunch but It'll be too late to eat for most of us (not out before 2:30)

Jeez Marie, Roy; are you sure Neil San Diego is not helping you plan out this goat feck!!! This ride is starting to smell like one of Neil's Infamous Soup Sandwiches!

Next thing you know, johnny80s, Pegscraper and FJRBluesman will start in posting up their gay male **** photos on this ride thread. OK, we stay with Ramada Old Town Hotel in Temecula and Nessie Burgers in Fallbrook! https://classic.mapquest.com/maps?city=Fallbrook&state=CA&address=4760+Highway+76&zipcode=92028-9006&country=US&latitude=33.329075&longitude=-117.161543&geocode=ADDRESS https://www.yelp.com/biz/nessys-burgers-fallbrook
