It gets easier when they get their discharge papers. Until then write them and call them and let them know you're there.

Tell your son that we really are behind him and support him 100%! When our son served in 1997-2003 he served in Korea and Iraq. When he got back home he thought that the US people weren't pulling for him by the reports he heard over there. We also have a nephew serving in Iraq as a F16 pilot watching the skys searching for the bad guys, he is a month away from retuning home. So let your son know that we have his back and you will both come through stronger. Thank him for us if you would.

Trust me, it's TOUGHER to watch 'em NOT grow up and NOT move on. <_<

Getting big is not growing up, is it? I have a brother around here somewhere like that! :D

<sigh>

Tell me about it! :rolleyes:
Why do I have a feeling I'm not alone in this sinking boat???

Take Heart, RH! At least if your boat sinks in Tampa Bay, you will have manatees to frolic with. One always has to look for the silver lining in the clouds of any storm. My Forum Contribution, mi Padre!

Unfortunately, I grew up with the philosophy that "every silver lining has a dark cloud." And there's been very little in life to prove that wrong. <_<
