Furthermore, because the Yamaha spanner is supposed to be used at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench, the torque spec is correct for when using a socket like this.
i know its not the most efficient way to machine these but i am making them from scrap i had from another job. your actually paying $24.50 for shop fees (costs me $12.25 an hour to run my shop. takes two hours to make socket) and $1.50 scrap price for steel. the problem will be when i run out of scrap. i had enough for 47 sockets but i am up to 62 orders.same here. i used to be a machine tool operator and am surprised he's center boring bar stock instead of getting some kind of thick-walled tubing. once i saw it, it made sense, but that's a lot of work for $26.Shoot, I'm buying one even though I already have the official Yamaha/KL tool. I like the pin socket idea far better than that damned retarded spanner hook design.
Wow, so that's.... hm... 2*62/8=15.5 days, so that's over 3 weeks of work! Well, I shall treasure mine when I get it.i know its not the most efficient way to machine these but i am making them from scrap i had from another job. your actually paying $24.50 for shop fees (costs me $12.25 an hour to run my shop. takes two hours to make socket) and $1.50 scrap price for steel. the problem will be when i run out of scrap. i had enough for 47 sockets but i am up to 62 orders.

Ha! Oh yes, or the Florida humidity will turn it into a furry orange blob of rust two weekends later. Been there, done that, still got the not-so-precision-anymore micrometer.and keep it well-oiled to avoid rustWell, I shall treasure mine when I get it.
