Last year, as I recall, Travis and a few others were doing TBS's for some folks and I was wondering if that sort of thing was going to happen again this year? I've never done my own and it sure would be a boost to my confidence if I could watch someone do it first.

Hey Chris, are you stepping up as an organizer for this? Oh yeah baby... PERFECTOMUNDO!

But seriously, nothing technical has been planned. If you guys want to do something like this, let Travis, Jim or me know when something is set up. Someone will have it added to the calendar of events.

Personally, I'd love to have a TBS done. I don't have the tools to do it myself.

Heidi I'm better at disorganizing than organizing but to sweeten the pot for somebody mechanically inclined, I'd be willing to spring for 1 (one) Morgan Carbtune to be awarded to the individual willing to do gratis TBS's at EOM....Of course my bike would have to be first :) . Anyone?

I have a Carbtune and I helped out last year. We did a bunch of bikes in a short time because of the assembly line system that evolved. I'm willing to bring a couple of tools and participate again this year.

I should warn you, last year I lost the little wire retainer from one of the rubber caps on someone's '06 so you might not want to let me near the tools this time.

HOLY COW! What an offer. Now to see if someone steps up to the plate.

PS... my bike is 2nd in line.

Geezer, are you the one who popped the grommet for my side panel into the engine area? Hmmmm, step away from the tools!!! JK... I am more than honored to have you work on my bike anytime. ;)

Now this is a great idea!!!!!

Hmm, why doesn't someone point out how great of an idea this is to the WFO-6 higher brass. It would be a shame if the western people let the eastern people "beat" them when it comes to great (TBS clinic) ideas. (HINT, HINT).

Hedi,

I don't know if there would be any interest, but I'd be willing to have a show and tell on installing graphics and paint film protection vinyl (clear film) onto bikes while where there. I know some people are apprehensive about trying this thinking it is harder then it is. If their is interest let me know!

Since I'll be leading the embarassing caravan of trailer queens (bringing the young one this year), I'll have room for some tools, maybe a spare tire or two etc.

Perhaps I can talk a dealer into springing for some extra rubber caps and wire clamps. If we have extras then we will never lose one.

Heidi, you're on your own with the rubber spacer thingy.

Plug changes and TBS go hand in hand. But I can't drink and do that kind of work.

:)

That settles is, Jeff isn't drinking at this years EOM!

I'd be happy to do the same as last year. I could use a morgan carb tune anyway, as I've never really dug the mercury stick, and I can't take it anywhere. *hint hint wink wink*

DING DING DING... we got a winner of the Axeprize.

Oh BTW Travis... No worries about keeping Jeff from drinking. He didn't drink at last year's EOM unless you count Sun Drop soda. Oh, that's right, he did accept 1... yes, I repeat one whole 12 oz beer from me. Why should this year be any different then last?

I got proof:

Duane, Well thank you very much. I don't know. Now that you've thrown this out there, let's wait & see if any interest rears its head.

And by the time my bike was finished (#1 spot) I do believe that the line grew like Pinnochio's nose when he'd lie.

Edited to add: Ooh, I see in the first pic that Grumpy is getting primed to fall into my bike.

Jeff if thats your way of saying "Yes I'll do it" then I do believe you win the prize! With Greg and Gary also bringing theirs, Travis helping out, and me staring over everyones shoulder the line should move pretty quickly. If that isn't a "Yes I'll do it" then I believe the prize should go to Travis for being such a stand up guy and doing it last year.

As far as OHFJR's offer is concerned, hats off to you for offering those lessons...it might have helped about 3 months ago for me.

I can bring a few extra rubber nipples as I just had to buy a pack after the black hole in my bike swallowed one on my last TBS and some tools if needed.

Somebody had forcips (sp?) gotta get somma those.

Hey Travis, hows the arm?

He found the muffler was still a little warm.

Consider it a "Yes, we'll do it".

There were several of us last year and it worked extremely well. I'll bring tools, Sun Drop and extra rubber thingies.

:)

Hey Fence, the hemostats were mine. I'll bring again.

I have a CarbMate, not a CarbTune. It's not as quick but extremely accurate if you take the extra time. Whatever works for everyone works for me. Maybe we can setup my daughter at the end of the line to do bike washes for $1. I'll need something to keep her busy while I do TBSs. Otherwise, she will undoubtedly be at the bar with Grumpy drinking KoolAid.

Naw, I'll be drinking in the crowd and marveling at all the work that'll be going on around me. I can bring a Carbtune, but will likely be too drunk to operate it!!!!!!!!! Well, at least I'm honest!

Jim

Jeff,

I'll volunteer to assist, if you can use the help with prep. - oh, and I have a set of hemostats, too (used 'em for the rubber thingys!!).
