So how long do these usually last? Well into the evening or late afternoon?
I've never been to one of these, let alone met anyone from here.
I have overnight guests, so we will be socializing until geriatric bed time. It was well after dark last year until we finished Scot's bike, but that was a result of a mishap. If there is work to be done we will be at it all day. Where in NOVA are you?
Ahh.. Thanks. I'm in Ashburn, VA.

Looks like it's only an hour and a half without traffic if I slab it the whole way.
My son used to live in Ashburn. Come down 15 to 17.

I am looking forward to this tech day. We may even have a Canadian invasion all the way down here in Virginia!
Well, this member of the Canadian Invasion Forces would like to come, but I can't swing it. Besides, the rest of the CIF troops hadn't sent me an invite. I hope someone makes it to plant the flag. It might be the first time the CIF made it south of DC since we burned down the White House during the War of 1812.

If you want to make a GenII middle bushing tool, just find an exhaust pipe extension with 1-7/8 ID, and file off the welded seam on the ID. It can be a bit of work. You only need a piece less than a foot long. When it comes time to press the bushing in, put one of the large seal washers on top and tap with a piece of 2" PVC pipe (which also doubles as your seal driver).

You need an invitation? That's all it would have taken? Geesh! The invitation was this thread! Now what is your excuse? There is still time! And there is always next year and I am formally inviting you right now!

I used Duane's seal tools last weekend and they are sweet. Makes the job so easy. I think I will just buy a set. The only thing that would make the job easier is a press. The ratchet straps works, though.

Damn...wish I could make it. We'll have to celebrate your Bday next weekend, at the Ramble.

There is nothing but you keeping you from coming. No excuses. You take the time off to go to the sheep fornicater's tech day. I see where you loyalty is!

If I didn't have to deal with the wrath of Jacquie, I'd be there. JSNS

Yeah, I know, I was only saying I hadn't heard from any Canadian intending to go...............
So you were afraid to show up alone??

Rob! Ripping the flap off a Molson Canadian box and turning it into a postcard doesn't seem to fly with Canada Post. It probably got lost in some sorting machine. Truth is, I'd love to go with you, but I just can't go this time.

Talk to fitter.... fuel cell is probably buried somewhere in that garage by now....... Good luck!

How much of a pain is it to strap a tire to the bike? I've hauled a lot of large crap on my bike, but nothing as odd-shaped as a tire. I overlooked the status of my rear tire while fussing over my forks and while I'm fairly confident it'll make the 400 mile round trip with no problems (PR3 with the center zig zag siping still slightly visible), this would've been the perfect time to take care of it (assuming I can acquire a tire today, lol). ;)

Looking forward to seeing my friends! :D

Yeah, like it's the gear!! We would have to call you the Michelin Man!

I know you can be creative enough to figure out how to secure it. Did you mount that top box? I would think you could strap it against the box sitting up on the seat. I will be changing my rear tire tomorrow. Not taking a chance with the one that is on next week in SEO. We all know how those flat, boring, straight roads can tear up a tire.

Yea, the top box is installed. I thought about leaning it up against it...that oughta work.

Scott...that will most definitely work, along with your rok straps.
