Doods, Its a work in progress fer heavens sake ! I admire the mans initiative. Kinda like farmers in the old days, just make it work ! I would think his wifes legs and feet were getting baked though. And it aint like duct tape on an MV F4 ! :p

I still think I take the crown for ultimate heat fix. ;-)

Did 220 miles riding around North Texas this weekend. I'm loving it!

Fairing/cowling to cover everything up and manage airflow for winter is still in design phase.

I'm surprised none of you eagle eyes noticed that he had the mounts for sliders on both sides, but only had the bobbin on the left. I asked him about that, and apparently they were on there before he bought it "crashed", and he couldn't seem to locate just 1 replacement slider. I told him that Skyway could hook him up if he was serious... kinda silly to have the mounts and not the business end.

I got busy after our little ride and just got back to the forum. I can't believe jwilly beat me to posting this litlle photogenic jewel. I had a marvelously elaborate subversive plan to disclose said photos and convince you all that Groo had finally stepped forward with his much-anticipated custom work. Oh, well. Since everyone beat me back to the forum it would seem I am a day late and a dollor short on my defamation of character scheme.

Scab, Sorry I beat you to the punch!

One thing I thought was funny about this guys bike. When they pulled into the parking lot the first thing his wife said was she was "freezing" and she was going inside to warm up. :)

Lemme guess...you've never pulled a front caliper, have you?
Look at my bike. You think I'd do something that crazy without knowing how to turn wrenches? I'm the only person to have touched my bike since the day it left the dealer. 10mm ratchet wrench makes quick work of the nut holding that reflector on...

OK ok you guys win hahaha...I put the reflector back on because I already have a few boxes of parts that I took off the bike. :p

I'd like to see what it looks like w/ the wiring in the frame and the coolant res moved. Perhaps even the side plastic off.

No comprende...

So did you wreck it? Or are you just wishing you'd a bought a speed tripple instead?

What are the sliders protecting now?

(Just being a smart-***)

Nope I hereby claim your crown.

My farkle works on all FJR's without lifting a wrench.

It works on any bike with heat problems from the left.

No hot ankle.

No hot shin.

No hot thigh.

Didn't cost me a penny either.

I had this Pacific Coast 800 flashback there for a sec.......
You nailed it.

That's some seriously ugly add-on. Guh.
Bad looking maybe, but give some credit for deflection will ya!?

It's a work in progress I am sure. More aero tuning is probably in the works.

Keep us posted ... whoever posted it here!

Right now I am cold, so this is moot ...

Someone say sumthin' about somebody in an *** kickin' contest?
How'd ya get that for free? Them things's 'spensive!
The good old Brit National Health Service :)

Even the kliktronic unit for changing gear was donated through the NABD. Though funnily enough charity regulations meant I couldn't recieve an adaption from the NABD during the 5 years I was their rep in Kent and later S/E England.
