Time for a new bike...

Considered the R1200GS but operating cost is as daunting as purchase price. The early years of the current model had BIG problems. Better in the last couple of years I guess but it would still be a concern. Not much around here for decent used examples of any of these bikes.

Looks like the purchase decision might be put off until next season at this point. Shit happens!

Depending on your engine size requirements, the 700 and 690 will be out by then. Also, the updated AT will be out with 2 versions soon (I know your not looking there, but still...)

Good luck figuring out what you want. Don't forget to figure in FARKLES and depending on the kind of riding your gonna do, possible off road riding gear.
