she'll only do it once.she thinks that she will fall asleep and fall off.
if she doesn't want to ride have her follow in the car. if she doesn't want to do that check the schedule of the mailman and the milkman.

+1One-up driving habits will cause discomfort and consternation accompanied by mild strikes to the upper torso.

https://www.getlovehandles.com/design.htmlHave been working for two months to get the Mrs. to go on short rides, which she has. Talk of longer rides has stalled because she thinks that she will fall asleep and fall off. Have been adding some safer gear including a new RF-1100 helmet. We have a Yammie top box that she leans against, so no worry about going off the back. Added a heated jacket to make sure she is warm and toasty. I have really been gentle with the throttle and big cornering angles. Any other ideas, other than just accepting the fact that the bike is way less fun for the pillion and that she only comes along to appease me?
"she'll only do it once." mg2: :rofl:she'll only do it once.she thinks that she will fall asleep and fall off.
The Ex-wife refused to get on any of my bikes after a minor rear wheel slide on a freeway ramp. Got rid of her!Ex-Girlfriend was much better, (some of you may know her from NAFO or CFR,) but the pressure on my sides when the speedo topped a buck and a quarter was unbearable. Got rid of her!
My current interest hasn't ridden pillion for years but seems quite trainable... we'll see how things go!
In the meantime, using the BMW R1200RT video as a recruiting tool!
+100 on a Comm System. Tunes when I want tunes, conversation when I want conversation AND "peace and quite" when I want that! Gawd, I love options!
 Hell, I hadn't thought of buying myself a new GF but I'm guessing there are a lot of better 'bribes' to find a suitable candidate! Ideally I'd like my SO to have/want her own ride but that seems to severely limit the options!wow... if you're giving your g.f. a BMW R1200RT, I'll volunteer... :dribble:...In the meantime, using the BMW R1200RT video as a recruiting tool! ...
oh crap... you mean the VIDEO!
Oh well!

Do you have an age limit ? Hell, I hadn't thought of buying myself a new GF but I'm guessing there are a lot of better 'bribes' to find a suitable candidate! Ideally I'd like my SO to have/want her own ride but that seems to severely limit the options!
+1It is quite normal and healthy for married folks to have separate and individual interests and hobbies.
I'd say, leave her to decide for herself. If she doesn't want to ride, why bribe her or guilt her into going?
Me, too! Er...uhm....that may be a drastic solution, but it works for some.I'd say, leave her..............
That doesn't always work out so well :blink:It is quite normal and healthy for married folks to have separate and individual interests and hobbies.
maybe you're just lokking in the wrong places..<G> Hell, I hadn't thought of buying myself a new GF but I'm guessing there are a lot of better 'bribes' to find a suitable candidate! I bought my wife her own motorcycle, taught her to ride (in the Candlestick Park parking lot), and we went on some long rides together. She kept her bike (a Honda 400f) and commuted to work on it for a couple of years, but after a few long recreational rides together, she wanted to leave her bike behind and ride with me. She said she was much more comfortable because she knew what was going on up front.Have been working for two months to get the Mrs. to go on short rides, which she has.
