****! Maybe that poor, over burdened Feej is the one who needs the surgery! ;) :D

Dave is a colorful character and great guy to ride with. I'd be happy to ride with him any day.

Dave, Cyndi and I wish you a speedy recovery and we will be thinking of you over the holidays.

TD,

Best wishes for a successful outcome and a speedy & full recovery. Looking forward to seeing you again in Reno, if not sooner (Madmike's recently unclassified secret CA ride).

I am a strong believer in the power of prayer and your name is now on my list. May your surgery go well, your recovery be rapid, and many thanks for the time you spent serving the U.S.A.

+10 from me, Dave. It was a pleasure to have you at my house and then on the ride to WFO, plus being your "roomie" for 2 of the nights. You are definitely one of the "good'uns".

Since they can't give you a bigger heart, let's hope its a good repair and a quick recovery on the one you have.

TurboDave,

Here I thought you were somewhere in South America.

Have a speedie recovery!! Idle FJR's are just no fun.

Dean, would have been in SA today except when taking a physical in advance of the trip to Cape Horn and return, the doc found an anuerysm on my aorta. It kinda took care of that trip, surgery in a couple of weeks. Already have a backup plan to join the MTF ride to the Cape from Phoenix in summer of 06, if I can!!

Careful, there TWN; I'll bet Dave probably has a Sidewinder or two stashed on his rig for smartasses that get in his way! ;)

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery... then getting back on the road again soon!

TD, it was fun talking to you in the RV parking lot at Stovepipe Wells last month. Wishing you a "smooth as shaft drive on 395" recovery. See you in Reno. Doug Plumley

Dave,

I don't know you, you don't know me, but we probably have rode over some of the same pavement! That makes us fellow travellers and on Fjr's to boot! Nice choice of rides Dave!

Now go get that ticker fixed, so I can meet you down the road! :D

Oh, and pardon me, but what is E CLAMPUS VITUS? and who is BILLY HOLCOMB?

All you great folks that have wished me good things on my surgery, I say a GREAT BIG THANKS and the SAME to each of you for the future>

To answer Khunaiawdge, E Clampus Vitus is a fraternal organization that goes back many centuries from ancient China. It is alive and active even today as a fellowship of men only that focus on the history of our territories mostly related to the gold rush days in the West. Also we are often called a historical drinking society or a drinking historical society by those that know about the CLAMPERS(our short nickname). We support history by erecting monuments of significant value all over the areas of our territory. We have a rich tradition of the gold miners in the past. Our motto is "Credo Quia Absurdum", ie, anything absurd!!

We wear red and black clothing and have regular "doins" of camping and enjoying life in the desert and hills of the country. Membership is open for males of all kinds who want to be a Clamper to enjoy life.

Each group of Clampers is formed into various chapters and mine is "Billy Holcomb" a gold miner that works the mountains and deserts in the late 1880s-early 1900s in southern CA.

Hope this info is helpful. For additional info on the web, search "E Clampus Vitus" for more info.

Good luck to you Dave!

I am located in NORCO, CA. just to the south of you. Maybe we can hook up for a ride when you recover.

regards, Dan
