Not enough for a ride report.

If you're ever in near Tucson, a ride to the top of MT Lemon needs to be on your list.

Spent all morning riding up and down that mountain.

Carl,

My dad lives at the bottom of Mt. Lemmon. It is a great road when there is no traffic. My best time is 45 minutes from the bottom to Summerhaven.

Stop off at EEGEE'S or Lucky Wishbone for me.

Greg

Ill second that! Fond memories of that road. Will have to return one day.

A very similar ride is out of Boise, ID up to the Bogus Mtn Ski resort. Great road off season.

May ride again tomorrow, if I do I'll wave to your Dad.

Daugher less than 10 mile from the base of the mountain.

One of my favorites also, when I'm south of Phx. First time I rode that many years ago, the pavement was like new with no debris. Got to fly up there. A really fun road.

It's been about 12 years since I've been up there. I remember It gets nice and cool fairly quickly as you get to the top.

I was just there too on May 31st. Lots of bicyclists and cops. Absurdly slow 35 mph speed limit but still a fun ride. Who knew SE Arizona had a ski resort!?

That is a a nice ride. Took the Harley up there several times. Just blew by the sport touring riders like they was standing still..

Written DirectionsStart your route at the start (west end) of Catalina Hwy (at the intersection of Catalina Hwy and Tanque Verde Road in the North East corner of Tucson Arizona ... just click on the online map link above to see it). Once you get on Catalina Hwy, just head northeast and it is 4 miles til the twisties start and the curves and scenery just keep on getting better and better! Your route ends when you get to the small town of Summerville, AZ.

29 miles each way going from 2800 feet elevation to almost 10,000 feet into the Santa Catalina Mountain Range. Views of canyons, valleys, lush forest, rocky outcrops, and breath taking vistas all the way. It's the only paved road that leads you to the top of Mt. Lemmon and is noted as being one of the most scenic roadsin all of the South West. It dead ends at a dirt road so you get to do it twice, once each way.

Nice 25 to 50 MPH curves the whole way. Recently resurfaced. Little traffic and few officers of the law.

Some small restaurants in a small village, Summerhaven, at the top. Don't go for the food, go for the ride.

There was a couple of HD riders the second trip up.

You could tell they had been blitzed a few times, moved over right away and gave me a lane.
