May I suggest that we all keep up our efforts to support Tyler and family via email, prayer, Indian dancing, sending ju-ju or whatever it is that you can do. Then let's wait on the mass visitation to the hospital until we get the OK from Jaime. Tyler is probably in for some very long and boring days of rehab in the weeks and months to come. She will likely appreciate visitors a whole lot more then, than she will now.

The couple of times I have been in the hospital, the last thing I wanted to do was entertain people, and when they showed up, I couldn't wait for them to leave. When you feel good enough for company, they'll kick you out....

No update from CaringBridge yet today, but I'm sitting here with my 3rd cuppa coffee, hoping and praying that today will be the day she finally gets home to California...

Hoping for a good word from Jaime, or Ty her own self if she feels up to it...

Thoughts and prayers are with ya, Hon!

Don

"SUCCESS!! VMC confirmed this morning that they have a bed for Tyler, and the transport crew here will be picking up Her Highness from her room at 6 pm. I'm estimating that'll put us in San Jose at around 9 pm CA time. I'm keeping Anel & Michael updated w/more details by text as they come in, but we're all relieved to finally have confirmation that today is the day. YAY!! Tyler is sad to leave all the great doctors, nurses & staff here at St. Al's, but looking forward to getting back to CA, closer to family & friends. I will be maintaining this website for the duration of her recovery, even after we get to CA, so feel free to check back for updates re: progress, visiting, etc. Looking forward to being home soon! :)

Awesome news! Thinking about a late summer road trip to San Jose already.

Well, as home as she can be in her condition.
She now resides at Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

Here is the link on SBR chronicling the event...Tyler, arrival in San Jose.

At best count there were around 23 bikes, 2 cages. Several different forums were represented. We staged at the life flight carrier's parking lot, and when the ambulance rolled by us Both Tyler and Jamie waved to all of us in line. The ambulance drivers were impressed, they never had an escort on their runs. We had a good escort by PGR standards, Nobody was left behind, the ambulance crew took their time keeping a safe, comfortable pace, and there weren't any issues with this large group of riders who haven't ridden together before.

I think we did good tonight.
