So Scoot finally scored that job washing the banana slings after the nightly "La Bare" shows? Sweet...
Groo: Your post is downright scary and very eerie! GO-AZ Triumph Shop is across the street from Chippendales Scottsdale!
Can't say I can picture that in Northsight. It is right next door to the Scottsdale Gun Club, though. I hope his customer relations skills are up to par. :p

Mike
Mike, The BMW/Ducati/Triumph location is all closed down now! They've moved bikes, apparel and equipment to a new one!
Just checked the site again and noticed the "Moving Sale". Where are they now??

Mike
Hi Mike, I don't have all of the details yet; but it's my understanding all 3 entities are now physically separated and distinct!

Sales is not a real job. :glare: This is like saying sucia puta will somehow become puro virgen. That process only goes one way.
I'll wait and see what Skoot says to redeem himself before celebrating. :p
https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/firstrid...e_se/index.html Hello Eric, Just got off the phone with El Pendejo Grande: It's Official, he is now a Triumph Salesman. I have been eyeballing the new Bonneville SE.

Who knows, I just may be his first customer! Oh, by the way and really no big surprise: He told us all to go **** ourselves!!

I like the Scrambler. I believe I'd have one if I had the space and the $$$$$.

Of course, it'd have to be painted a la' Steve McQueen's bike.

Good luck Skooter, you're gonna need it.

Tips - Don't tell the wimmin riders that the Rocket III makes their butt look big fast.

Don't tell the old farts that Lucas doesn't do the electrics still. They like letting the smoke out of the wires.

Do tell the poseurs that the Scrambler is a dual sport perfect for riding to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. (don't mention riding off the edge is the only way it will make it to the bottom)

Do NOT mention to your boss that Triumph has too many SKUs and could stand to focus on quality instead of following the HD trial of tears chrome.

<helping>

I've never met the gentleman, but in 4+ years of reading the testimonials of all his "friends" on the board, I thought it was the long accepted consensus that SkooterG is UNEMPLOYABLE?!? Non??

That just leaves me then right???????

Right, Old Chap! Ironically, when I was on the phone with Skooty last night: I made a joke that it figures he'd be selling Triumph, due to all of the grab assing he's done with Fairlaner over the years! Cracks me up: "Hecho en England"! Ha, ha!!

I heard he tried to get a job on a sheep ranch.
He said he had lots of experience inseminating sheep. I guess it did not work out.
You hit the bullseye johnny80s. Unfortunately, the sheep herding industry in the State of Arizona is exclusively controlled by the Navajo, Hopi, Basque and Apache peoples. He did learn how to pronounce sheep in Zuni, but still didn't get the job!

Brother Mike: I fully agree with you that the Triumph Scrambler is a beautiful bike. I am also a big fan of Steve McQueen's.

Raced against him twice offroad with my 1966 BSA Victor 441 Special, he was in the Top 10 in both events and I was in the Last 20 at both AMA meets. But I got to shake hands with him both times and he gave me a Coors beer at Barstow-LV run!

When the new Triumph Scrambler arrived at Arizona Super Bike Store, a mile from my house: I immediately got a test ride.

I unfortunately have to agree with Eric-OCfjr that in its current trim the new Triumph Scrambler does not fit the offroad bill.

As you know, I have ridden twice to the bottom of Mexico's Copper Canyon: Aboard my 1996 BMW R1100GS and my 2006 Kawasaki KLR 650. The new Triumph Scrambler could make that run in dry conditions, but it would be in bad shape if wet!

I really wished that Triumph Corp. would consider bringing out "278" model in remembrance of Steve's ISDT racing number.

Even if it was $1K-$2K more than a base Scrambler, I believe we "Old Fart" off roaders would jump at the chance to own a recreation of McQueen "Desert Sleds". Lightweight Rickman frame, great suspension front and rear, and way more ponies!!!

LOL, Skoot will need to sell his FJR's, ride only Tbikes, give GsJane 1,500 monthly for past rent, pay BeemerDon's back for all food/money/alcohol borrowed..

He's going to have to sell LOTs of Trumpets, if you get my drift!

Yes, I know that it is a street bike dressed up to look like the scrambler of old. I was, a looooong time ago, the proud owner of a Honda 305 Scrambler. A street bike with a steel tube frame and high pipes.

But that is not a likely scenario in these economic times and with the limited sales forecasts for that model.
I was speaking about the romantic image rather than the purposeful use. It would make a great city/fun back road bike. Not serious cafe riding like the Ducati replicas but more enjoyment like the Royal Enfield on steroids.

You know, I had a 441 Victor Special that I chopped to pieces and raced as a "Open Class" motocross bike. No sheeyat!!! What a beast that was!

The world has been screwy enough lately. Now Scoot gets paid to love sheep, er, I mean sell Triumphs. Dios mio, es todo fanatico.

Best of luck to you Scooter. I really mean it.

And to think I shook that hand (bee-don's), and foolishly washed it.

YOU, sir, have led a noteworthy existence. :yes2:

(And you're a friend of Skooter's too!)
