Updates from new owner with fuel smell and non-starting bike

Final update:

The new, NEW battery was installed, the parts* arrived, and the tech came out and installed them this morning. As he was working on it, he found that the spring inside the idle air control valve was shot and the valve was stuck open so he replaced the IACV, too. My baby is all back to working order and rides, run, and sounds amazing! Thanks all for your tips, suggestions, and general assistance!
