Quick story on my Void Rally weekend last week.

Entered the Void doing a 2up deal to take the SO with me..she loves LD rallies and hey I can kick some wing ass even with her on the back.

Friday's trip down was easy. 400 miles split between slab and Wv back roads.

Saturday came..I had a good route but we would need to keep moving all day. Route took us through central WV. It want o6 out of Lynchburg, to 81 to I64 to RT19 then into deep WV through via 4, 20, 250.

In Ireland WV we decided to skip Beverly Wv and head to Drubin and off to Stanton. About 5 miles outside of Webster Springs on 20s the SO decided she was not feeling well. On her defense we were really carving up the road :aggressive: ..rally pace is much faster than any of our regular riding.

We stopped in Webster Springs to calm her stomach and for me to eat. :D

After 20 minutes we were on WV 15e turning it up to make up some time when she said she needed to stop again...well I told her up ahead is a pull off.

TOO LATE! :not_i:

She tossed her cookies...in the helmet eewwww :puke:

So we stopped at a creek on WV15 to wash everything...helmet, jackets, pants, the bike..

After about an hour we got going again...with the request not to lean back and forth too fast

So we got a DNF for the rally. I got to give her credit...she toughed out 5 more hours on the bike to get back. Plus we did see the Leaf peeper gang with the gold gold wing in the pack. Leaf peepers

Geo..Rider 64 Void...finished 1.5 hour late

Kudos to the missus. Takes courage/fortitude to keep going when the tummies a chrunin....and the smell too.. eehhww.

Yep, those WV twisties at pace 'll do that to ya. Your missus is a trooper. Leaf peepers saw lots of rally riders, glad to know FJR was represented.

Can't wait to do more of W Va - didn't get enough on the last trip - rt 20 was great.

Time to buy her her own FJR!!! Then no more worries!

Pararocket, sorry to hear about the wife.

On a lighter note, I do remember seeing you guys. I wave at everyone... & remember saying to myself, "self, that was an FJR!

What area are you from? WV is one of the best areas around to ride. Maybe we can meet up sometime.

Thanks Heidi,

She's fine and the first to say lets take the bike last night for dinner. Just one of those cases of fun overload.

I believe we passed while you all were cornering..Blue 05, red helmets..going dreadfully slow. No need to wave while busy in a turn for sure.

I'm is SW Pa around Washington Pennsylvania, but we get around a bunch. Not much of a group rider but may catch up with a group every once in a while.

Hey Parocket, where you at son? I'm in McMurray (Washington County). Were you on 19 in WVA or 219? I was going to head down to WVA this afternoon but got busy with other things that needed done. I want to make at least one more trip down to WVA before the weather turns too cold.

That surely wasn't me going dreadfully slow. I was in the lead on '04 silver. There was a point after meeting up w/ Jim Meadows I was second but I think that we were into WV by that time... & out of most curvage. But, if I'm riding 250 I'm sure that I was jammin' thru there. I lovvvvve that area!

I myself like to ride in small groups... basically, I don't like to ride in the moutains alone. Too much stuff can happen & nobody would know where to find you if alone. If you change your mind & like to catch up in WV some time, let me know.
