Yes, i got my present early, because I'll be out in LA over the holidays. If anyone wants to get together in 3 or so weeks, gimme a PM! I'll be there for 12 days! B) I'll also be in Monterey on Dec. 29th if any of you more NorCal guys wanna come hang out and have drinks. But back in LA for NYE. Where's the big party for NYE?
I'll be in the Pasadena area after Christmas. No celebration on NYE, though. We'll (6 of us in the immediate family) be leaving for the Rose Parade around 0330, and people of my...er...uhm...state of maturity, need our rest or we will sleep through the parade. :dribble:

i already know about Warchild's new toy, i saw the thread. (can't believe you got rid of your beautiful R1 for that!) ;)
<snicker>

Yeah, well, I bet I have more fun sitting in front of my new screen, than you do sitting in front of your new screen....

;)

Michelle, I'm glad your feeling better and now it looks like you are feeling goo-ood. Besides, it'll be much easier to dust behind the new acquisition, yeah...that's right...put it under the housecleaning budget!
Ya' done good, gal!

Suuuure! Now I feel really behind the times and I'll probably have to go and buy the new flat screen I've been looking at. Its bad enough I watched the "kid's" 57" TV and caught all the games on Thursday and Friday. NOW Michelle goes and posts this......

Ooops, am I thinking out loud again. Danged brain injury!
Mikey,

I am just today starting to feel better. I spent all day on the phone with family because I couldn't talk since Wednesday night. I had no voice until this morning really. But I think I've turned the corner now and am heading towards wellness again!

I did something on Thanksgiving that turned out unexpectedly cool. I texted a buncha friends and family wishing them a happy thanksgiving in the morning. I ended up getting text messages back throughout the whole day from everyone. It was very nice! Constantly reminded me that this is day to give thanks on and that they were kind enough to return a reply. I heard back from everyone!
Better than TVs or motorcycles! Have a great and safe holiday.

ha! i think thats a debate we need to have in private mister! ;)

David, there are many definitions. The one in this particular case is: A Friday that falls after a holiday on Thursday. Many companies over here celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday, but Friday is a normal workday, or some will take the day without pay. Historically, it is the "beginning" of the Christmas shopping season.

Link here for definition. You will note that Michelle did her part by purchasing a "big ticket" item..... :D

I got a new big screen on Black Friday, too, but it's a little different from yours.... :D

Yeah, but like it or not, he's getting older er...uhm...maturing (Yeah, that's it!) and finding that the 'Busa is closer to the leg position of the R-1 than his Blackbird. He'll find a way...'cuz he's a determined, uhm...stubborn dedicated motorcyclist.

I think Michelle made the better "Black Friday" purchase. With my damaged knee I would do much better with the TV than the 'Busa, oversized 'shield or not. AND, she'll get better tire mileage! And with all the College Bowl season approaching and the Super Bowl party at her place..... :unknw:

Thanks Mike. I've only ever known it as a Friday 13th, which is the best-known UK definition, I think.

I like your signature line. Amen to that.

nice score - got HD yet cause if you don't you ain't seen nuthin' yet??

I bought a 62" DLP Samsung in October and switched to HD DirecTV this month and the picture quality is absolutely amazing. Outdoor scenes look like you are looking out your window.

The seat-height-to-footpeg distance is a bit abrupt, true. Fortunately, there are NO plans to do any serious LD work on this beastly thang.

Truly, the most painful part of Hayabusa ownership thus far is putting up with the 'Busa forums.

I am not even bothering with armpits like LABusas.org, but even the more reasonable forums are chock full of the punk-*** slammed/stretched/NOS/street-racing crowd. Discouraging, but... it's the nature of the Beast.

Thanks everyone!

I'm afraid HD isn't on the agenda until my contract is up in February. Which sucks cause I'll miss all of football season and the Superbowl in HD. But I'm excited and pumped up for it! Can't wait!

Didn't anybody else get anything spendy?

I'll bet you will Warchild. Seeing as SALT season has begun here in Vermont the only screen I'll be looking through is on my snowmobile or watching my new big screen TV. Can't fight Mother Nature. :assassin:

We scored an HD TV last year. Got up at O'dark thirty to head to Best Buy only to find about 1000 people had camped out all night and the line was around the building. Punting on that plan we headed over to Wally world for 'regular' shopping. They too had a few TV's a nice 55" rear projection, and a really decent 42" plasma that we picked up for cheap. We scored well and I'm very, very pleased with that purchase.

This year we went straight to Wally World, and grabbed (2) Garmin C330's for $120 each. That's a pretty good deal, allthough it seems GPS was the big 'Black Friday' deal, everyone had either a Garmin, TomTom or Magellan for cheap.

We nabbed a number of smaller deals, no big tickets other than scoring a Wii at at Target.

If you can put up with some of the yahoo's shopping on black friday isn't all that bad.

Thanks everyone!

I left to go buy myself a new digital camera and came home with a new riding jacket for the wife.

SO was up at 3 am and got three sets of 1000 thread count King complete sheet sets for a hunnert bucks, anyone that knows cloth knows that was about as good as it gets. No TV though, I spent all the big dough on bikey stuff, and am suffering (he he) for it. Right. :p
