Scott, I know your pain. My beloved wee-strom went away on a t*****r, never to be seen or heard from again. Sad day.

Um, I can't help it...... Where is that beagle's tail?

Since I'm not allowed to ride for at least 6 weeks, I thought I'd let a co-worker who is considering buying an FJR borrow mine so it won't get mad at me for making it just sit in the garage.
He was looking at the Connie-14 and FJR, but another friend recently bought a Buell Ulysses so now he may be interested in that as well. I figure if a few weeks on an FJR doesn't convince him, nothing will, so it's a good use of the down time I have.

So, I watch him pull away. There's just something not right with watching your bike ride away from you. That feeling went away quickly though.
If you weren't so damned cute, Pony, I'd let you ride bitch behind me this weekend while I'm out enjoying the 60 degree weather. But this being Portland (and all that that implies...), people might get the wrong idea. So, sorry man. It just can't happen. :p Mend up soon!!

Wow! You'd do that for a co-worker? He must be an awesome kinda guy to inspire that level of trust. Hope the ride on your bike helps him to make an informed decision. (And he lets you take that shiny new black 08 for a ride when he gets it).

Hope you get it back in the same condition! I think I'd rather have my FJR mad, and leave it in the garage. <_<

There is a great passage in Richard Bach's book Biplane (I think) about his feelings about lending his beloved biplane to a friend to fly. I forget all the details but I think it was pretty good philosophy that the friendship was worth more than the hardware. Anybody have that book and can look up the passage?

But still, your Feejer? Wow.

Is that the hdro your smoking . I dont know of to many people to let ther bike go for 2 weeks let alone 2 hpurs . And with the 1300 being so top heavy (boom down she goes ) Your a better man in the motorcycle dept than me . thumbs up .

True ultimate brand loyalty here folks, ...whatever it takes to create another convert!

I hafta feel it owes to your job 'territory' so to speak, ...as much of a prize as your Feej no doubt is, it pales in contrast to the degree of trust you may have to put in any one of your co-workers at any given moment on duty! ...eh?

..and after all this PF won't even finance a new boat so I can go bass fishing!

......and I thought we was buds 'n all..
