Well, I'm a pretty far cry from a supermodel, but if someone has an open backseat and wouldn't mind a passenger, I would love to be able to go with! As long as you have extensive experience riding with a passenger, I'd feel ok riding with a stranger. Obviously, I'll bring my gear and if someone has a J&M system, well that would be a bonus because that's what I have at home so we could communicate then. I don't want to hog the thread here so if anyone wouldn't mind taking me with them, just PM me. :derisive:

What? You're not bringing your own bike?
Rogue, Groo, anybody? Lady's hitchin' a ride....

O.K. Rogue, sounds like a perfect setup, J&M boy!

No J&M for me, and per Fjrchick's request, I don't have extensive time with a passenger (my wife hasn't ever sat on the FJR...). In fact, other than taking my daughters for a spin around the neighborhood, the rear seat of my FJR has been unoccupied. I'm guessing this wouldn't be the ride to learn on...

I will have an open back seat, but I'm running an Autocomm. Anybody know if there's an adaptor that cross's over to J+M? Wife rides with me quite a bit, so no problem with a passenger.

So do you have extensive experience being a pillion? This is just as important a factor as the rider, especially at warp speed. :D

You should really consider riding out to WFO, there are some truly great mountain pass roads to enjoy, that would be far more enjoyable from the front seat. ;)

Wow.....is everyone getting old except me? I'm getting that old feeling every time I read a post.....in fact....I actually imagined buying a car today....oh....nevermind....I'm drunk...

On a stock seat? Oh the horrors....
That's why they make fleece seat covers.

@BearlyFlying, I believe she said J&M would be a bonus, not a requirement.
Madmike is right, just thought I'd mention that I can hook up to a J&M system if anyone has one. No biggie if not.

I am flying to Reno for alot of reasons. There's no way for me to take enough time off to be able to ride to Reno as I will be totally in the middle of creating the Sam's Club Holiday Catalogs at that point. The bike wouldn't be ready by then either as I won't have the cash after this week in Vegas. So flying out is the only option and it's already booked! I have family in Reno so I have the hookup on the car and room. So no bike for this trip for me but I'm excited about being a passenger so I can enjoy the view. And yeah, years of back seat experience here (no pun intended).

I completely appreciate the offer Bearly Flying, sounds great to me!

Also don't forget another option that would be to borrow a bike from another pilot if you can find one. At the last WFO there were many bikes that seemed to never leave the parking lot during the event.

If all else fails, you could also slip the scary security guard they have lined up a $100 bill and call it good. :D

If my bike looks like this:

then it won't be a problem.

But I may still have it like this:

Sounds like you can put us down on the roster Toe.

I'll see if there's an adaptor we can use, Lot nicer to have the intercom and music.

Arn't Yamaha bringing some demo bikes, may be you could take one of them for a test ride.

Chris

OK Rogue, just keep me posted on whatever you decide. Maybe I could go with you one day and Bearly Flying the other.

Holie-Molie, the lady is coming to WFO to ride! To cool for school! :yahoo: I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity to "join up" as a pillion but planning ahead is a good thing.

Now you children be good out there on those twisty mountain roads. The plan is to go East on 108 and West on Hwy 4, correct? So when are you'all running Hwy 120 and having fish tacos for lunch?

MM2...get your mind out of the gutter.....& back in the sewer where it belongs :D :D :D :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
