Well I ain't been around here for a spell, cause like the dummy I occasionally am, I "shot myself in the foot" about 3wks back. I decided to go cell-only, and cancelled the landline service at my new residence before giving as much as a thought to "there goes your dial-up ...you dufus "! Great pay-off though, as it forced Me to play Santa for Myself and finally do the monster upgrade, ...bought myself a BIG -MAC! Definitely some [re]learning curve here,[switching from a PC], but the jump to light-speeeed is mind boggling, ...from a puny 7yr old antique w/ shy half a GB of RAM on dial-up, to this Beast w/ 306ghz Intel DC2, 500ghz HD, & 4GB RAM, ...OH BABY!! Every bit the degree of difference I experienced going from my '76 Guzzi to my FeeJR!

I got a horn and a wiring harness from FJRandy. I also picked up a Datel Voltmeter and a switch.

Paid $1500 (plus Yam Stratoliner trade) towards my 2009 FJR (#3 of them) due in March. Four more months and we can ride in Alaska again. Now -40F on the way from Siberia. Happy New Year. FK Winter.

My 1st gift which doesn't compare to anything else was a phone call from my Son who is away serving our country. Man I sure could use a real live hug from him. He's been serving for 6 years now, 4 in Okinawa and 2 in England with the Air Force. I just thank God he's in a safe place. We had a great time talking with him and his wife and look forward to maybe going over there in 09 for a visit. He has 2 more years before he comes home for ROTC then becoming a commissioned Officer and then off again to who knows where. The little gift we got each other came on the 23rd ahead of schedule. Our new Russel seat. we should be able to get out today and start the break in.

God Bless all of our soldiers for keeping us safe!
