What's in your little left hand cubbyhole ?

Hope this isn't too personal. What's in your little left hand lockable cubbyhole ?

Glove liners & the key for my lockable oil filler cap. I think that is all that is in there. There are lots of people who put garage door openers in it. Don't put anything heat intolerant in there. If you do, you'll be scraping it off of the bottom of the cubby.

A few napkins for a quick wipedown if/when needed (i.e. gas spill). Key for Givi. Security screwdriver for Garmin 2730 mount. EZPass.

A couple extra pair of earplugs and the inserts for the rear frame where the bags go. I also have an eyeglass pouch so I can swith between sunglasses and regular glasses.

me thinks I'd better go look at it.

All I stuff in there are gas receipts - although one time I did use it for a ice cream bar wrapper - and a cell phone charger.

tire pressure gauge, bigfoot kickstand pad (clicky), windex wipes in plastic ziplock, LED headlamp, ear plugs.

oh, and a 4'12" pole dancer. and her kinky twin sister.

Always a foam sleeve that contains a side stand plate. The sleeve keeps the metal plate from rattling and scratching. The sleeve also turns out to be a pretty good housekeeping item because it holds all the dirt and water that comes along with the plate. Sometimes paperwork, garage door opener, EZpass, sunglasses, flat kit or sundry small tools. When diagnosing running problems it has held my DMM Velcroed to the lid and hooked up to the TPS signal wire as well as a vacuum gauge Teed to the fuel pressure regulator. (That was enlightening, learned quite a lot from that, but that's for a new thread.)

From what I've heard, that cubby just slows the bike down. Probably why the Liquid Silver model (sans cubby) is faster.

Further proof is that my Wing has a cubby on each side and is a bit slower than the Silver Bullet (which is faster than subsequent models)

Then again, maybe it's just the faster silver paint...
