It's December 27th.

I mowed the lawn today. In shorts and a T-shirt.

Excuse me while I go take a shower - I've been sweating like a pig.....

(sigh)

Plowed the driveway for the first time this season. Last year 3 times by now.

Snowing as I type

You may have mowed the lawn but you did not "sweat like a pig". Pigs do not have sweat glands. That is why they wallow in the mud to keep cool. Unless by pig you mean Pig, as in a police officer. If that is the case then I am offended because HotRodZilla is our friend and he is a police officer.

This useless lesson and pointless scolding comes to you courtesy of someone who just went through an 80 degree F Christmas. Sorry.

On my hill it's been on/off snowing most of the day. Now the damn white stuff is sticking...

Not looking forward to tomorrow mornings drive to work!

Trade you G. Been white on top of more white for most of a month now. I better not hear anything about a drought this year.

Many road closures due to water overflowing from the ditches into the roadway. At about 4:45 my patio furniture they is wrought iron was blowing around the deck. We are under various flash flood, wind advisory, and winter storm warnings. I sure hope this rain does not turn to snow/ice like they are talking about.

Another 7 inches of gottdamned snow during the night, still coming down. This will be my ninth driveway plowing. At least this stuff is of the light and fluffy variety. I make this to be about 40 inches so far this winter. For those who don't know, this means knee deep on the level as each new layer further compresses the previous ones. We live at 5,400 feet in a 270-degree horseshoe of the Continental divide so have what amounts to our own micro climate. We drove 600 miles of Montana over Christmas and there's plenty of snow, but nowhere more than we have here, quite unusual. Unfortunately this means we won't get the bike out for at least two, maybe three more months, but it does tend to keep the pussies out.

Well, river way over flood stage, all roads out of Dodge closed due to flooding. Had to miss going to work because, can't get there from here.

Stuck at home with three bottles of single malt, 2 bottles of vodka, gin, tequila and rum (each) 30 bottles of wine, half case of beer, and oh yeah, those 3 slabs of smoked ribs in the freezer.

It'll be hard, but I'll tough it out......

Flooding left and right. Went across rural Alabama Saturday, where every other field was flooded, every stream was up to its bridges, and every other yard was used for impromptu trash disposal. This is not a comment about Alabama, just a direct observation of conditions in the area I traveled through. Beautiful area otherwise. This morning, I didn't put on my rain pants, as 0 percent chance of rain was predicted until 9am. Backed out into a downpour. Rather than change gear, I just took the truck to the office, helmet and jacket tossed in the back seat.

84 & humid. Not the riding weather I was hoping for this time of year, but still, we're riding. Any more photos of that white stuff y'all call "snow"? 😎

25F. Thanks to insulated danner acadias, First Gear HT overpants, Sedici Rapido jacket, warm and safe glove liners, and a shemagh, might as well have been 70F.

Didn't freeze, but got below 40 for the first time this winter. Gotta find that sweatshirt to layer up under my gear...

Coldest night of the season coming tonight. Looking at maybe 20*F!! I'm freezing just thinking about it!!! And to think, yesterday I was contemplating running the lawnmower...

-25 with the windchill. Supposed to warm up today, because of that, calling for snow for the next 5 days.

Winter in Northern Ontario. Same old same old. That's why we stay inside with our appliances.

It was about 38° today. The sun was on and off. I wanted to ride the FJR, but 70mph at 38° gets old fast, and it's even colder where the run riding is.

So, I called my buddy and we took the dirt bikes out. We had a blast. Right about the time I got home and began unloading the sun set, and the temp dropped about 10 degrees. Brrrrrrrrr.
