You can tell that it was going to be a bad winter by watching the wild life. Note the wild life form on the right beginning to show the growth of weather protection on the vulnerable head area and the consumption of metabolic antifreeze. A sure sign that a rough winter is to come.

Been wearing sunscreen all week. Too damn nice for March.
Not effin funny.
At all.
Would it make you feel better if I told you how much fun I had cutting my grass yesterday?
Now we're talkin'!!
That 26 horsepower Kawasaki V-twin sitting in an 850 pound ZTR is not anywhere as exciting as an FJR. I had to close the garage door to keep from settling dust and pollen all over the bike. At least the Hustler ZTR comes with an excellent seat.

So yes, even where winter has ended life is not filled with endless motorcycle rides and other fun things.

I am looking forward to the three weeks or so that falls between snow shoveling and lawn mowing. Should start in a month or two.

This being Seattle I experienced the following at the same time:

  • Warm, beautiful sunlight shining through my visor
  • Hail bouncing off same, said visor

Watching the news. Man, I'm thankful I don't live in the upper right hand corner right now! Any of you up there, stay safe.

A light coating of snow overnight and temperatures rising from 18 to 29 degrees F today in Murrysville. I think that was balmy compared to Boston, but I'm real tired of the cold now.

Woke up this morning to a very, very light dusting of snow. Winter has finally come to California and we need it, good rains this week and more to come.

Think I'll jump on the Hippo crank up the heated seat and go for a ride now that the roads are dry.
