I got out for a half-day ride, but the rain came in about 2:00 PM and that was enough. At least the roads have mostly cleaned off. I'm not used to dodging rain yet.

Our Minor league baseball team opened the season yesterday to 45 and rain. Today it is 33 and windy with flurries and they have postponed tonight's game. We have 70's in the forecast for late next week though.

Well, NM spring is upon us. It is sunny, windy, snowy, hot, and freezing balls all at the same time. To top it off, allergy season is in full swing. My eyes itch like Hell, and my nose runs. Sometimes it feels like 40 mosquitoes are in it buzzing around, making it burn and itch at the same time.

Gawd I hate spring!!

Sun, rain, sun, thunderstorm and wind. We've had warm weather for a few days, now a cold front will keep us in the 50s.

Not opening the pool yet, but I pumped out the excess water.

Got the first yard mowing of the year done today. YeeHaw. But it was a beautiful day, 75* & partly sunny. I almost have a top-o'-the-sock tan line on my pasty white legs.

Its a beautiful, sunny, 60 degree wind free day. Motorcycles are out everywhere and I'm stuck at the fire station for a 24 hour shift.

Hope it's a dull one.:) :) :)

No kidding. 5 points separates the top 4 teams with only 4 games to play. Should be an interesting last few games.

The whole President's Cup was a great idea, IMO. Otherwise those teams who have already clinched would would be resting their starters. It's amazing what happens when you throw a few hundred G's up for grabs.

I think we are both hoping for "The Cup" to find a home on the east coast this year.

To make this post on-topic: The ponds and outdoor ice rinks around here have finally started to melt this past weekend. For a while there, I thought we'd be skating outdoors all the way through the playoffs!

I shoulda got out to ride today, but I opened the pool instead. Took off the winter cover, hooked up pumps and adjusted chemistry and put on a new solar cover (bubble wrap). That gave me an excuse to ride a water sample over to the pool store on the bike. Great weather forecast for this weekend, and I think I'm going to go explore / preview some of those Ohio roads that every one is complaining about being so flat, boring and straight.

Did I mention the water temperature is 48 degrees F?

Warm stretch here this past week has everything white pretty much gone except where it was shaded....... and the Leafs are definitely out.

I still have at least 2 feet of snow on the "lawn" (I assume there is grass down there somewhere). I managed to get the bike out of storage and for a short ride last Monday and hope to sneak out of work early for a ride today. Roads are very sandy and I will be doing some serious pothole slalom. Roads are also wet from melting snowbanks but most of the salt was rinsed away by recent rain. Temperature is supposed to get up to 12 C (53 F) today so it will be just like summer. Similar temperatures tomorrow.

The snow is finally gone and the temperature is above 60 degrees yesterday and today. My golf buddy called me to play a round with him yesterday and today it is going to rain, so I still haven't taken the FJR out of the garage. Today I'll change the oil and swap out my wired Ampli-Rider with some bluetooth Senna stuff I bought a couple months ago. I might even wheel it out and hose the dust off of it if it isn't raining too hard.

Got another short ride in today with the temp at 12oC. Will get another ride in tomorrow before the forecasted return of winter on Tuesday. Sunday and Monday don't look good in the forecast either.
