It is nice here in Kalamazoo, but looks like it's going to be wet if we head north to the UP, so we're going to stay here another day and head over to NAFO on Thursday around the south end of Lake Michigan. It looks like it's going to be interesting at NAFO for Friday and Saturday.

Your buddy Big-D has a pontoon boat. Better call him!
Better yet, Big-D is with Papa Chuy Viejo and Tuscon Joe; we are parked at the top of Picacho Peak in Jose's camper with three cases of Tecate and six bags of Chicharrones, ese! jes' sayin' and nuff said, Ole!

The Arizona Weather: Still under flash flood warnings for Phoenix, Tucson is getting the brunt of Hurricane Odile ese!

===============================================================

Flash Flood Warning
Statement as of 12:36 PM MDT on September 17, 2014

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... central Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* until 230 PM MST

* at 1230 PM MST...National Weather Service meteorologists detected very heavy rain that will lead to flash flooding. Doppler radar estimates up to one and one half inch of rain has fallen in the area over the last 45 minutes.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to portions of East Mesa...Falcon Field Airport...Mountain View Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in motorized vehicles. When encountering flooded roads...make the smart choice...turn around...dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of normally dry washes and creeks...streets and underpasses...and detention basins affecting some community Parks. Unbridged crossings will be especially dangerous.

Nightly News mentioned 6 months worth of rain from this. I assume that's worst case. Either way, stay safe...and dry (if possible).

Up here in Marysvale Utah the weather is good. I hope all will be OK in Tucson till we get there on Sunday. Can't do anything about it anyway, so I will not worry.

Been riding to work the last couple weeks, 50's am, 70's pm. We only have 2 seasons here in Flatistan, this one is my favorite.

Yesterday 27º leaving for work, upper 50s coming home. Today 30º leaving for work, should be in the 50s coming home. It's down hill all week with solid, white rain towards the end of the week. I need to remember to put the pinlock on my helmet 'cause I am fogged up on the ride to work.

Damn. And that's in my neck of the woods by the end of the week. I normally ride rain or shine, but I might take a couple of days off.
