which is better? Heated handgrips or gloves?

Knowing how fast I wear through gloves, I bought Gerbing heated liners and buy a set of leather gloves to go over them, then replace the leather ones as needed. Cheaper than buying new Gerbings. My 2.5-season regular summer gloves are a size smaller.

I see articles on grips and articles on gloves but which are better? Had to delay getting my bike for a week because of the cold and still managed to spend quite a bit for farkles!

If you can only afford one, get gloves. I have grips and gloves. Gloves will help warm the outside of your hand, but grips won't, thereby making you feel colder as the wind wicks away from the outer parts of your hands - no matter *what* gloves you have.
