....... but I would say the Gen1 ticking would put me off the most. The rest I say is mostly...mostly ********. Wiring problems with GenIIs? Gimme a break.

I agree with HotRodZilla, engine problems would put me off. I fixed my spider problem in my garage in under 1 hour using a fix I found here. I don't have any extra accessories and was stranded by the spider issue, but being able to fix it myself is what's important to me. Internal engine problems are different since my bike is my daily commuter.

Keep drinking that kool-aid my brother. You GEN II owners are starting to sound a lot like BMW apologists. Your bike leaves you stranded and yet it's still less scary than the Gen Is which don't leave you stranded.

Spock would have a field day with that logic. :p

Whatever. I had to post up for help for my buddies piece of **** GenI with an ignition switch that took a ****. Then what happens? All the GenI victims crawl out of the wood work with solutions because they had the exact same problem. Guess it wasn't limited to GenIIs.

So besides an engine that attempts to grenade, we can add ignition switch failure to the list of GenI issues.

I like Yamaha motorcycles.

I like all bikes tho.

I think Japanese bikes are purdy good.

They don't scare me at all.

So Bro' rushes, does this one scare you at all or would you "Hit it!"?

I'd hit it. From the neck down, its just fine. Nothing a bag, a light switch, or just plain flipping her over wouldn't fix. Either that or a few too many Coors Lights.

Oh and RH...I'm not really that grumpy. I have been on the forum using my phone a LOT lately. Just killing time between stuff, with no real computer available. I donno how to get the dammed smileys to work from this thing. Kind of sad really.

I like doggy more better..

As long as her butt don't stink, I think I would not be scared...

I'm kinda fearless...

Call me...

Super Goober!!!.... dant ta da aaa....

Rushes would hit Howie and Beemer and look to see if Carver was watching..

I dunno.......... I'd be worried if I was one of the named..

I'll probably catch hell as a noob, but here goes.

All mechanical things have issues. Some are recalled or campaigned, some are not. Sometimes the design is improved and if you want those improvements you need to make a purchase. BY and large I don't think there is a better bike out there than the FJR. I'll let ya know if I change my mind when my new Super Tenere finally arrives.

I don't have the miles some of you have, 43k on my '05, and I am certain I will regret writing this, but not a lick of trouble. I piped it and have a PCIII which may have corrected any throttle response issues, beyond that NADA, zip, not one single hiccup. I will likely research the CCT thing and replace that at next valve service.

As I learned over on DucatiMonsterForum, any survey or poll must have ****ies as an option. So I did not vote.

Oh yea, some of you guys have some serious issues. I like it here.
