For those folks who might be able to join in, the meeting place will be the Blueberry Muffin restaraunt in North Conway. I'll be meeting Dan there at 7, yes, that's a.m. :dribble: , saturday morning. I'm guessing that the posse will roll out NLT 0900.
DOL,

I'm confused...nothing new there! Which day do you plan to meet Dan in N Conway, Sat or Sun? We won't be there for breakfast at 7AM (WTF??!!) but we can certainly be there before 9. Where is the BM Restaurant?

Meeting Dan saturday morning, 7 a.m. for breakfast and leaving the Blueberry Muffin at 9a.m. It is located at 1769 White Mountain Highway, Rt 16 North Conway. Unless other riders show up, it's looking like this will be a saturday only ride.

I will be posting any final itinerary/information thursday evening . . . .stay tuned!

Geez, Charlie, dan said you could shoot, didn't tell me ya couldn't read!!

Rear rubber on death bed at end of day Sunday. Got 12k out of the 021. Have to do a scramble to find someone stocking a Pirelli before the weekend.

Sometimes we speedreaders miss a word or two. BTW, it looks like Polarize will also be riding with us, at least part of the day. Thanks for the clarification.

GL with that. My experience is they all have to order anything I want, (and they all order from Tucker Rocky) unless I want a sport bike tire. Then they might have something in stock (at list price).

Best deal on tires right now is the PR2's from Motorcyclesuperstore. Free shipping and $20 off (any order over $200) with the discount code of C409CTLG20. They also have the Pirelli's at a decent price and you can upgrade the shipping to something faster for a few $$.

Getting my rear tire changed out today. A little over 8k on both, the front still looks pretty reasonable. How many of you have switched out just the rear, and how much more life can I expect to get out of the front? I stayed with the Z6, I like the Metzler's.

I just ordered a set of PR2s from MC Superstore this morning. Grand total was $306.98. A $20 coupon code brought it down to $286.98. The code I used is C609CPNPAGE20. I think the "609" part means June 2009. Free freight. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a better delivered price.

The C409CTLG20 is a "$20 off of $200 or more" code that is on the back of of a catalog (CTLG?) that they sent along with a recent order.

Says it doesn't expire 'til 7/31, so no rush, unless they sell out of the PR2's.

Weather still looks promising for Saturday. Riding early with my cousin Lars (BMW), so two of us. Ray, are you riding with Charlie later? Not sure when we are leaving Portland, probably around 6. CJ, note that my possibly being tardy (after 7) is due to cousin not wanting to sit around until 9 departure!

Now off to Charlie's to put on a different tire before work.

Ummm, ran a little late. No so many billable hours on Thursday! But got to use the Nomar for the first time. Lubed the universal, driveshaft, etc. Good to go.

Don't forget to scrub that tire in Dan! We'll see you whenever you get there, Just don't forget to leave time to eat unless you take care of that early in the morning.

I think the thread has all of the necessary info, but one last rundown for those who may join up . . . .

Riding all day Saturday. Meeting place is the Blueberry Muffin restaraunt in North Conway, NH, on Rt 16 at 7 a.m. if you want breakfast. We roll out at 9 a.m. I will be staying overnight both friday and saturday nights in Madison, NH at 9 Adelboden Way. For those that find they may need a place to stay overnight, there is plenty of room. I will not be arriving in Madison until about 9 or 9:30 p.m. tomorrow night I suspect. My cell number should you need it to call to catch up or whatever, is 978-696-1138. Be advised, I don't have blue tooth, so if we're riding and you call, leave a voice mail!

Thanks to all who have contributed information/help to this ride! Looking forward to meeting some new folks and a great day of riding! A sincere, "Wish you could come!" to all those folks who weren't able to join in on this ride. Who knows, maybe if this one goes well, there could be a second running to see the foliage in the fall!

See you there! :yahoo:

Fred,

Well, I'll be sleeping over saturday night, and was thinking of maybe doing Mt Washington at my son's request, unless it is done on saturday. I have to have him home no later than two, so if I was going to do "a ride" on sunday, it'd only be the morning time. I'm figuring I'll have to leave around 11.

Cathedral Ledge in North Conway

A few pictures on Photobucket of the ride. The only thing missing from the shots are the hundreds of H.Davidsons seen in the area, due to start of Bike Week and the Loudon Classic at N.H. international speedway.

Rain late yesterday and most of today so hopefully CJ and Tim got home to MA while keeping dry.

Awesome shots, Dan! Even got the pig trail I led us on! Fencer would be proud! Reminiscent of EOM last year.

Started a new thread over in the rides report, will be back to re-visit it soon to do it justice!
