... but be very careful to be facing towards him when you bow.And all that wish to posses one shall bow down before me!!
Get that bike added to your signature line!! I was wondering how the fly and ride turned out. Not sure when u completed it, but it turned kinda chilly up here Friday night and I heard there was snow sighted in northern illinois.I just licked the side of my 13, and the paint definitely is not ****. You heard it here first.
Congrats, welcome to the Gen III world, where all is good and all the little niggles have been dealt withI flew in Friday night and rode away Saturday morning just as the big polar vortex was sweeping down from over Lambeau Field.
Mark has an "overbite" ..Ok, I'llbitehave to ask, how do you know what **** tastes like?
Oh sure. I try to alert the membership so that they may avoid the woe and misery which have befallen my life and what do I get in return? Scorn! That’s what I get!Don't forget the complaint about the visor on his Shoei not being dark enough and the inside of his helmet getting too hot.I'm calling Akjitsu a chronic complainer First it was the cruise control, now it's the paint whats next the air in the tires smells funny?
Now that I know about the soft paint I can save all that money I was about to spend. What a POS the Gen3 has turned out to be.I love the logic...
One guy pipes up that he thinks that his 2013 may have softer paint than his prior year bikes based on the number of rock chips he sees in the finish.
And the conclusions (based on a scientific sample size of 1) is that:
1) This is an unquestionable truth
2) Because his is a 2013, all 2013's must have softer paint
3) Since, 2013's are third gens...all third gens have soft paint
4) A bike with softer paint is not worth having regardless of any other attributes
Really? Soft paint? This is definitely a First World Problem.
Gee, I wonder if the above-mentioned toilet paper would remove the Gen III paint completely if, indeed, it really is ****.Just this morning I was penning an alert about the totally unsatisfactory toilet paper at the Ranch House restaurant in Yarnell Arizona. The stuff has splinters! It makes your ******* raw! But, rather than subject myself to more ridicule I’ll just keep it to myself. Interested parties can PM me for details and pics.
You have to spray the 3m 90000 on pretty thick. I did my entire side bag covers and you can't even tell. The finish looks beautiful.
I had a little mishap ( on our last day of our return from EOM) and I had to peel one of the sidebag's film off. First of all, because I sprayed it on thick enough, it came off in one sheet almost. Underneath my side bag had NO scratches.
Ok I wasn't ready to talk about it but here's what happened. I ran into the back of Jim's bike bc I thought he was going forward from a stop. Bang. I slammed slowly into the back of his bike and then my bike fell over.... Whaaaaaa :-(......
Nothing happened to his bike....only mine.
I looked at my sidebag with all the crumpled looking film and I thought surely it's all scratched from the pavement.
A few days later when I was ready to really inspect the damage, I was incredibly shocked to find not one scratch on the sidebag paint!!!
Wow did I get lucky.
I felt awful about the whole stupid mistake I had made but relieved that it had not all turned out worse and no one was hurt.
Hahahahahaaaa......And now we definitively know why your front tire wear was SO odd...you tweaked your forks trying to mount your husband!
I agree it's a great testimonial. That's why I thought I'd share the story. Oh, and BTW, the slider (SW Motech) did a good job too, but the bike actually rolled on the sidebag and then the mirror received the brunt of the impact. You have to spray the 3m 90000 on pretty thick. That is a great testimonial. I would not have thought that the stuff would stand up to an actual drop, but it's great that it does.
I'd better get going spraying that stuff on before I need it, too. I'm sure that it's only a matter of time before she gets tired and wants to nap.
