Well, it looks like something is going to happen. Yamaha wants to see the bike for a couple of days to locate the cause of the problem - it might be here towards the end of September. I guess retaining an attorney was considered a serious attempt by me to get it fixed.

I'll see what comes out of it then.

My offer of a BBQ is still standing even if it should end up with me not needing help finding the problem. Still I think it would be great sharing a garage for a day going over maintenance of the bikes etc.

By the way (off the thread); I just had my Kawa in for it's first service. It's scary what a so called "certified" mechanic can do to a bike ! - The dude put the wrong oil on and "forgot" to change the oil filter...

Any update on the cause and the result with Yamaha.

Hope it works out and you get it right.

anyone think a superbrace might help with the diagnosis? maybe theres a problem with the internals of 1 fork tube, the brace should force both tubes to work evenly, or reduce the problem.

I had the classic "40 to 50 MPH" wobble and I could not get it resolved until I installed the SuperBrace.

With the SuerBrace installed, no more wobble and the bike handles much better. Great front end feedback.
