Short Ride report for Sunday.
Home about 7:30.
I left early (9:15) this morning because we expected to do some exploring of old haunts on the way home and everyone was seated for breakfast with a line forming behind them.
Nutshell version: June Lake Loop. Side trip to Virginia Lakes, a side jaunt out of Bridgeport into Twin Lakes, over Monitor (my old personal race track and the FJR's suspension was pretty well dialed with packed cases), ate in Markleeville, 88 to Morman Emigrant trail to Sly Park to Pleasant Valley Rd. to Lotus Rd to 49 and home to Auburn.
More extensive 3 day report, replete with Harley accident, restaurant waits, stellar riding and lots of drinking . . . to follow tomorrow or so.
Luv the Muzzy with the Quiet core on its maiden trip. Was great to see old faces, and to meet a few new folks whose posts I have rad many of (Robin -- Cdogman and TWN**).
Oh yeah -- and I cursed all the way from Mammoth to Auburn at the pathetic lack of traffic on our route, at the non-existent grafitti art, and at the ****** roads and scenery and riding that goes with living where we have to live.
Thanks to all, but especially to Dave -- it was a blast!! Hope everyone got home well and grinning.
And fast Jeff -- let me know what and how to pay you an that used farkle we discussed. You be the wizard of farklery in the west.
** EVERYONE has read TWN's posts. But note that this posting legend showed up on the most underpowered bike at this high elevation venue.
