James a few of us will be having breakfast at Kristie's in Auburn at 9:00. If you or anyone else for that matter (even others not riding with us) would like to join us there you would be welcome.

Thanks for the response, Blue. Now, even though getting to Auburn for a 9AM breakfast would violate Burleigh's Principle of Never Getting Up Earlier When on Vacation Than When Working (it's a long principle), I'm seriously considering this. Is that the restaurant where we met for the New Year's Day ride?

Now this trip is a funky little loop from my house...

...making a nice 1,100 mile or so weekend (hopefully on roads more interesting than yahoo maps shows).

Hmm... And I'm moaning about going all the way to Auburn to join the Sac crowd for breakfast. But that's more a sleep-deprivation issue.

Just past Garfield there is a gap to go right onto the frontage road. Do so and Katrina's is just uphill. If you miss it, turn R. at the 3rd signal (Palm) and go R. on the frontage back down to Katrina's

Be prepared, this is no small portioned-dietetic fare, this is a good food, large helpings, great tasting, SRO, wait-in-line-because-its-worth-it restaurant. The only "saving grace" you'll enjoy is that its Friday morning so the "working crowd" will have finished and gone.

The rumors of me not making this trip have been greatly exaggerated. I should be able to meet up with the Auburn group at Angels Camp between 1:00 and 1:30.

Hey, JB! Be sure and confirm if you all are going to stop for breakfast. I might be able to join you. I finish up my work day around 0700-0900 and that might be a nice way to end it...Breakfast with "Fast JB" and friends. Mike, I'll go if you go!

Um... I feel like a ****, piling on with the others who had to bail last minute. I've got a nasty cold that turned up yesterday coupled with work demands that suddenly cropped up. Not being around Friday would create for me a lot of stress going into the next week, stress I'd carry on the ride and be no fun to be around (I know, hard to believe). I threw it all in the balance and....

Anyway, I'm bummed I have to miss this. I was really looking forward to it. Sorry, Highlander.
