Hey all! BigDan and i just took a 5 day ride through some of California's more spectacular natural beauty. Rather than post all the pics here (remember the Oregon ride report? i had to start three threads because of the photo limit! <_< ), I'd like to point you all to the Pashnit forum, i'm sure many of you are already members anyway.

Please check it out and enjoy!!

Okay, it's Sarah, rather than Roxxie.

Sarah, HELLUVA job on this one!

Really great photos - ( like this one with those peaks out there and the light)

And of course your narrative is great. Well written and thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm going back and have another look.

RenoJohn will be proud!

Thanks again - even though Pashnit got first look! :D

Very cool report Roxie!

Sitting in the cafe, good tunes in my ears, reading your report and grinning..

Nice job on the write up and photos. I am hoping to hit some of this on my way back from World Superbike races in Salt Lake next year.

Coincidentally, I just finished reading The Last Season about the search for a missing backcountry Ranger in Kings Canyon/Sequoia Park:

A pretty interesting read. Had the pleasure of listening to Blehm talk about it in person at a recent SAR conference. I suggest the book. Learned a lot about the National Parks Service' backcountry rangers.

Aweseome.

Good that you got through. Last weekend they weren't letting people through Yosemite. Timing is everything.

Thanks for looking, everyone!

Thanks for the book recommendation, i love those kinds of stories and as such will definitely check it out.

It was definitely a trip for the ages, and I'm stoked we got to do it before all the inclement weather/rockslides, etc.

Wonderful ride report! I took an SV through that neck of the woods about seven or eight years ago. Brings back lots of good memories.

Thank you.
