    Relief for old bones

Yep. Spencer makes your seat look stock. Just happens to feel much nicer in the arse department. Excellent investment in the comfort department. Had it done on the GSXR and I was able to bust out 700 miles in a day with much improved comfort. Highly recommended and he is a great guy with...

    Sliders

Install was mega easy. To answer yer Q, they are as good or BETTER than the set I installed on my GSXR two years ago. Machine quality is top notch at the observer level and fit / finish / install was of the highest quality. Highly recommended part. Shipping was ultra quick as well. I feel...

    Which GPS to get???

I've got a Zumo 550 and I love it. Been with me for many miles in all climates but desert. Including the worst rain storm I've ever ridden (or driven) through. Works like a charm and easy to use. Also easy to take into the car. Big bucks, but BIGGER return. The Zumo forum is also FILLED...

    ?????? for current FJR owners

I'd pipe up for a 6th gear. Not for the "highway" gear of it... but for the better gear ratios that would most likely fall into the 1-4 gears. That being said, I'm okay w/ the 5 speed tranny. Although I would rather have a 6 speed.

Front BT020 down to wear bars

Last year I was caught off guard by the same wear gremlin that plagues many tires. They looked fine at the start of the day but when I came to a stop.... after riding through one of the worst rain storms I can remember... I had belts showing on the rear tire.... alot of them. Good news.. .I...

    Sliders

I just jumped feet first into the $22 band wagon headed toward T-Rex frame slider-town. I am so influenceable. While still cheap....... 50% shipping / handling. LOL Look forward to the install.

    Should I install a Power Commander 3

The PCIII rules. I have way better things to do than worry about the WHACK that comes with rollin the power back on mid corner. Yeah, you can compensate..... a little and SOME of the time.... but why spend mental and physical energy on twistin yer wrist when you can focus on a smooth corner...

    New Jacket for the FNG

Vanson. Worth every penny. Especially if you use it for what it was intended for. Made in the good ol USA and will last you WAY WAY WAY WAY longer than those $150 textiles. www.vansonleathers.com

Sell the FJR, or will a PCIII fix the throttle?

The handling issue is one of direct personal preference. In order to keep this short and simple.... The FJR probably handles the best of any sport tourer I've ridden (again, personal pref). I came from a BMW R1200RT, which is one helluva ride. Felt like you could do no wrong once you got used...

Sell the FJR, or will a PCIII fix the throttle?

I like it when my FJR lies to me so I think I'm spending less money on gas than I really am. Ignorance is bliss! :dribble: LOL Not much of a change on the computer.... Not even going to start on the error margin for "eyeballin" the fill ups.

    Sad Day Today

I don't know. I think I can absolutely appreciate how sprtdiver is feelin. Brand new bike, the gleam in your eye, the "newness", the stigma of your new FJR.... then POW! Smashed in the nose with the fryin pan by a person you paid to work on your bike. That really flippin sucks. On the other...

Sell the FJR, or will a PCIII fix the throttle?

Aasland, I can honestly report to you that the PCIII WILL make you a believer in your FJR. I had the same problems and considered the same as you. I made the buy on the PCIII, installed it (pretty much an easy install as well), LOVE IT :yahoo: . I uploaded the 001 map from...

    PowerSportSuperstore.com

Just ordered a V-stream windscreen from https://www.powersportsuperstore.com/Nation...p/tr51-2141.htm at the kind recommendation of FJRintheville. Spoke to the guy at the store on the phone and ordered it up. Very pleasant and informative. I ordered it two days ago and it arrived THE NEXT...

    PCIII saves the day

Don't know about the Barbarian Mod... did not do it to mine and I like the results. May want to check with some others for info. I don't have a G2, but if you have it on, I'd leave it for now and see how you like it. I have heard that some like the bike w/out the G2 when using the PCIII for...

    PCIII saves the day

Renegade, You may want to pick up a few strips of double sided velcro, not sure if your unit is new or not. When mounting mine I used the velcro and it seemed (still seems) to be working like a charm and it adds in the added vibration damper of the non-solid mounting. The little bugger is def...

Oh-yeah... I used the 9volt battery option to load the PCIII... very straight forward. Prob no prob for anybody once you install the powercommander disk.

    PCIII saves the day

Update. I've got a few hundo under the ol' belt with the PCIII. I can say this. If the damned thing came like this from the factory there would never be any discussion about any G2, throttle springs or PCIII anywhere on this site. Bike is great. I love it. More now than initially. I have...

Name of that tank bag w/ gps mount?

THANKS TO ALL!!! The SW-Motek Engage is the one. I love my Ocelot but after nearly a decade it's time to part ways (But I'll still keep er around). That Engage looks very useful and I like how the GPS is attached to the bag for when you leave the bike in the parking lot or gas station at a...
