Annual trip - I'm back and I'm tired

saxman, I am unable to even express how ironic your words are. I had this conversation with myself no less than 100 times before I left for the trip. Even more ironic, I have the matching Joe Rocket leather lowers that match my jacket in the closet. As the years pass by I find myself...

Only with my helmet on...or so I'm told. :(

    New tires

Another vote for the Bridgestone BT023 GT's. I just returned from a 2000 mile week long trip and these tires were fantastic. Wear and handling was much improved over the stock BT021's.

Annual trip - I'm back and I'm tired

Well, I just return from our annual bike trip. We spent a week down in the Robbinsville,NC area and I must say, I've been there many times and I continue to love it. The weather was awesome and the roads just make you want to keep riding every day until the sun goes down. We did the Dragon...

    Sport Tour LTD

Great folks to work with. I have bought my tires, Givi V46 and mounting plate from them. Very helpful and service is great. I just wish their hours of operation were more accomodating. Jeff

    My Luck

On that note, if you're ever out this way stop on over. We can head out for a ride..or there is always beer in the fridge. Later, Jeff

    My Luck

Sorry folks, I have promised the tire to one of my local riding buds. I'm starting to get a number of pms, so I figured I would post up.

    My Luck

Sorry folks, just venting on all the work and cost involved. I don't want to come off as someone that does not approve of repairing tires, it's just something that I can not live with. I would never think less of another person for making that choice. I'm just buying my own peace of mind.

    My Luck

I figured that I would give the new Bridgestones BT023 GT's a try. Soooooo, I spent the better part of Saturday afternoon installing them at a buds house, buttoned everything back up and off I went home. Well, Sunday afternoon was nice, so off I went to scrub in the new shoes. I return home...

    2008 fjr rear trunk

Try SportTour.com I just bought the Givi V46 in matching gloss black with the mounting kit for $400. They are right up here by me in Sharonville, Ohio, so you will enjoy no tax...plus they offer free shipping on Givi products. I must say, I'm really impressed with the Givi for function and...

    Pulled the trigger!

I just picked up an 08A in August and I gave $9500 OTD. Without looking for the bill of sale, I believe it was $8700 plus tax and title. It's an 08 with 5900 miles. Good luck!

    Finally, I'm in!

That would go without saying if you owned a black 08... :)

    Finally, I'm in!

Sweet, you bought the best year and fastest color. I'm just up the road in Cincinnati, so give me a shout when the weather breaks. We're looking at 3 to 6 inches of snow tomorrow and cabin fever is really starting to set in... :angry2:

    Shoei Qwest helmet report

You may know this, but you can buy thinner or thicker cheek pads to adjust the fit or comfort. The XL size comes with 35mm cheek pads and you can order them all the way down to 31mm. I just ordered a set of 33mm to give me a little more room.

    Shoei Qwest helmet report

I just picked up a new Qwest last week myself. I spent the better part of an hour trying on different helmets and sizes. The Qwest fit me much better than the RF1100 or Arai. I agree with the report above, the Qwest fits just a little looser than the RF1100. I can't wait for the weather to...

    Friday Wrenching

Check, I added the Stabil at the station and then rode 8 or 10 miles before parking it in my garage. Thanks for the heads up though!

    Friday Wrenching

It is tasty to say the least, their micro-brew is in Lexington, Ky and then they age the beer in spent bourbon barrels. Not only does it taste good, but the 8% alcohol by volume will get your attention also...that's why I mix a few Miller Lites in the evening also. I live a few short hours...
