2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

My thanks to the insiders (warchild and ms kitty). And congrats to the the riders. I still think they're all retarded, but on the other hand, I'm a huge fan. Mr. Higdon's thoughts about the heat are dead on. Being from the Great White North and all, I find the heat extremely debilitating.

2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

"If only he had carefully read the Bin 'O Facts......." Now that was funny. They should make blood test's mandatory prior to the IBR because some of these folks don't appear to be human.

2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

+1 I've come to the conclusion that to be successful in the IBR, you have to be completely retarded. Hope everyone stays safe! Go Mr. Watkins.

    85 Octane in The FJR

The thing that is freaky with the FJR is that when you read the specs and see 10.8:1 comp ratio, you immediately think premium fuel.

    85 Octane in The FJR

Yea, but I was also running the 87 in the same conditions. With the premium, bike had some kind of strange vibe too.

    85 Octane in The FJR

I ran premium only once when it happened to be a cold day at a higher elevation (say 3500') and according to my butt dyno, the bike was actually slower.
