I can really care less about the the cigarettes.
It is the baby diapers, fire-wood, and drunk passengers puking out the windows in front me, that frost my ass.
Most wash out with soap and water, but some leave a lasting impression.
Also as a man of the cloth, do you really think on judgment...
I may have missed you, we stopped at McD in Montrose. I let my son ride the bike from there and I took a nap in my wifes car, while she drove.
(I have never been to Arrow Head before, It is really nice back there)
Friday I am heading to Prescott for a family reunion, then on to Phoenix to help...
Seen a bunch of FJRs on highway 50 between Montrose and Cimarron.
Most notable were the 3 together Blue,Cherry, and Silver heading east. To bad I was on my cruiser heading west, it needed the cobwebs knocked out.
Great day for riding the Rockies.!!

I used the Me880s on the Cruiser and when they are new they are good. I can only get about 7500 miles out of them. Also towards the end of the tire life the rear gets a really nasty flat spot in the middle.
After using the Ravens on the FJR , I have been so satisfied with the performance I am...
I own a 1200c (not even close to what a 1200GT is), and I belong to the local BMW club. I ride the FJR most of the time.
To club meetings, and rallies.
You should of seen the club members eyes when I told them I would bring the FJR to the Oktoberfest BMW club display.
I not, but the shock...
I know there are some dirt riders here.
Has anyone ridden the trail on the San Rafael Swell called "The 5 Miles of hell"?
There are a couple of videos on You Tube.
I am planning a ride it in October with my sons on our YZs.
I still not sure if it will be a day ride or an overnighter.
I have...
These tires are working well for me also.
I am waiting to see how they handle in cold weather riding. We usually run 141 to Gateway, then To Bed rock and then to Moab and take river road home on January 1st. Just to start the new year right.
Bob
I have been there on a BMW montauk, Not the FJR yet. I ran one up.
My friends who have done it also have gone on all types of bikes.
It all depends on what roads you are going to ride. If you are going to stay on paved roads then the sport touring bikes work well.
The cruiser was nice for...
What is your plan for getting to Durango?
I suggest coming through Vernal to Rangley, drop over Douglas pass (139), 70 past Grand Junction to De Beque canyon, turn right on 65 over the Grand Mesa. Take to 92 east to Hotchkiss, Crawford, Mather, to the north side of the Black canyon of the...

You read too much into my statement.
Didn't say I don't drink.
Along time ago when I was working 14 hour days, drinking beers in countless numbers of hotels and bars, wondering where the hell we are and what day is it. Literally opening the hotel room door for coworkers and watching...
These pics are what I do for day rides out here. You were given a great route.
During the rally I was up near Lake City riding dirt bikes, my first love of motorcycle riding.
A "Dust Butt" ride is highly feasible, here.
Good day to all.

Which Ouray? What state?
If it is Colorado, yup 140mph is jail time. As for the testing yup, bend over and say ahhh.
As for the story who knows, we do have a lot of State Troupers here, and they love 550, great views, hot springs, shopping, etc.

I try to pluck the tail feathers of the birds as I go by, and my wife hates it when I chase down the rabbits, baby ducks and prairie dogs with the bike to tumble them.
The skunks are the worst, they have their way of getting even.
If you think this is sadistic it is not, I can't stand drivers...
What I did was tap the top and bottom new races into place, just enough so they don't fall out.
Then I used some all thread, dug up some washers and large sockets, and the original races (reversed them) and just tightened them into place by tightening the nut.
Another thought was to use a...
