I go with a bright-blue Joe Rocket when it's hot, warm or cool, and I have a white leather Icon Motorhead jacket for when it gets really cold. My helmet is all white. I was on a group ride one time, and it amazed me how you could pick out the white helmets in the crowd from so far away.

My feejer has one, as do a few others on here that I know of - it's great. I've noticed people do a double-take before pulling out on me, so you know they saw. Being seen is at least half the battle.

Mostly, but I think most 'bike week' events are. There's always a good number of other bikes around though.

Bike week officially starts Thursday, and ends Sunday, just west of Ocean City, MD. Bikes are rolling in already though. I'll be down probably Friday, and hopefully Saturday. More info on the web site here, or on my site here.

Get the 8-ball. I was torn with what direction to go with my bike, and it came down to the FJR and the Vegas 8-ball - it's a gorgeous bike.

Unless you're travelling in a state (like Delaware, for example) where the entire state-wide radio system is digitally trunked and transponders/repeaters went the way of the Dodo long ago. Me, I carry my police ID - it works better than any radar detector I've ever seen. Except in the south...
