    Chicken Strip Question

I also have used the Sport Rider settings and I am very happy with them for the roads we have around here. If I was to take off on a superslab run (YUCK unless you gotta get somewhere quick), I would soften up a little but I like having less movement under me on our local roads (Cherohala, Deals...

    Stock Windshield Is Lousy

Nice light package Highlander. Do the lower lights on your mounts point lateral. I'll bet you look like Close Encounters coming down the road at night. Sweet set up. I'll be carving up my shield for summer use as well. Don't like huge shields. Like clean air..I leave my stock one down most of...

    Led Fairing Installation

I've added LEAD to my fairing and now I cannot pull wheelies worth a crap! Seems like she "falls" into turn more as well. Any ideas?

    Front Brake Seized

smthng are you gonna turn or not...........Mine looked like a deserted '41 ford rotor when I rode it to work this weekend and it sat outside overnight in the rain, Took care of that this AM with the ride home. Warmed 'em real good. Haven't had it stick yet...I'll go move it in a moment just to...

    Glove Box

My Theory of Dirtbag says if they want to look inside your glovebox, there's nothing that a little screwdriver application couldn't free up anyway. We should make it as easy as possible on the poor criminal who is after all just trying to make a living like all of the rest of us poor stiffs...

    Let's Be Careful Out There!

I believe it was a Little Rascal Glide (FLTLRG), Euthanasia Glide (FLTDED), or some other Harley model. ;) ...poorly worded. Have no idea why she decided to stop in the middle of the road and then continue on her way. I wasn't tailgating or anything that you think would provoke that kinda...

You Guys Have Had It Now!

Had Road Runner for three years and loved it. Now I am on 50K DIAL-UP!!!!! AAAHH. Awful. Its like going back to tin cans or something. I pray for DSL...I am proud for you.....

    Color Perception

Aren't blue stars the hottest? That may explain the molecules reacting that way as they are blasted off the paint at speed or even standing still on the surface of the earth as it spins at how ever many mph. Or.....if blue stars are the coolest, that would explain it right there. No further...

    '06 Fjr Color Scheme

Kermit the Frog Green I have heard with yellow accents (seat. etc.). I kinda John Deere agricultural look. there will alos be a PTO to run a large lawnmower or a roto-tiller attachment to help talk your SO into the purchase as a more practicle appliance instead of just a time-warping...

Has Anyone Polished Their Wheels Or Forks??

No. I sold the Harley and don't need chrome. And by the way the way I HATE the word "bling". Word to yo motha'. Reminds me of all of those shows on TV that do nothing for the performance but add all sorts of non-functional chrome, electronics and such to make a slow car slower. Or possibly bikes...

    Which Suit Guys?

Have had a 2 piece RoadCrafter for the last 8 years and couldn'tbe happier with it but it does get kinda hot over 85-90 degrees especially here in the South with our awful humidity. Once I get up in the mountains its OK (and of course it cools down as well) but after you descend and get back on...

Wow, Another Gizmo You Can't Do Without

    The Almighty Harley Rider

Unless I'm wailing around a corner I always wave at everyone I pass. I can't help if they're too scared to let go for a moment and be friendly. I love to pass by cruisers on the Dragon in curves and wave to them. They can't believe you're not going to have a huge loss of control with one hand...

Shift Lever Adjustment To Fit Boot

Same thing with me got new boots when I got the bike and was hanging up under the lever. Raised it just a bit and between this and the boots breaking in, no problems now.

    Msf Erc

Have taken the ERC twice and I highly recommend it. The "Ride Like a Pro" video that you see in magazines is excellent as well. Really helps you in low speed manouevers which in turn carries over to high speed one... Maybe this instructor dude need to get some videos and stuff. at least he...

    Torqueing Hex

Just used hex sockets on my torque wrench. I would go to the low side of the stated values just to ensure (hopefully) no stripping. Be sure to get down in there good if you have a bolt in a deep well. I did not tighten mine enough and had a bar shift on a quick stop the other day, sorta...

    Let's Be Careful Out There!

Sorry to hear about your close call. I had one of my own making the other day. Pulled out on the highway as an old lady went by and pulled a sweet power wheelie ( I had let he rgo far ahead, divided highway, no one to get hurt other than your truly..no anti-wheelie retorts please) and was...

    Mpg In Low 30's

Usually get about 40-42 mpg but got a 48 last week just farting around. My commute is about 25 miles one way so I am up to operating temp on my daily jaunt. It gets double my pickup no matter what so I too am satisfied.

    Chicken Strip Question

Have dragged pegs on both sides and still have about a 1/4 on back and about 3/8 on front. I agree with the profiles, tire pressures and the amount you hang off or even lean into the curves can have a marked effect on the amount of rubber you have left at the edges.
