If it had a good idle before you took it apart and will not idle now, then my guess would be that the timing is out. Bite the bullet and check the timing. You are not the first to put it together wrong.

Looks like it is set up for drag racing. My guess is that it comes off of the line real fast but handles like crap. I bet the owner is saving for a set of wheelie bars. Sweet looking ride, but I need a place for a passenger.

I just changed my oil last night. Made a special trip to Wally World to pick up a 10 quart bottle of Rotella T Dino Juice. I guess the motor will fly apart on the way home tonight. Mine has not started shifting automatically yet, but I am hoping it will do so with a few more oil changes.
