    I'm done with FJRForum mods

There are no entitlements on this site (nor should there be), the rules are posted, you have choice (whether to come and participate or not); just doesn't seem that nebulous to me. That being said, I support the moderators and administrators; there was some pretty silly stuff before the...

    "Seafoaming" your FJR?

One caution (though you'll probably be all right); if you decide to pour raw Seafoan in an open vacuum line (directly to your intake valves) be careful not to hydro-lock the cylinders. As you saw on the video the engine stalled (with prejudice IMO); probably no damage due to the low rpm at the...

    Fuel injector question

Guessing again (sorry), getting back to being a low mileage/stored bike; have you checked for an obstructed air filter. There have been reported cases of 'critters' getting into the airfilter (making nests, storing nuts and other blockages). This could produce some of the symptoms you report.

    Fuel injector question

No matter what you put in the tank (to absorb water), I would siphon out the original fuel and start with fresh (and run that 'puppy' on the hwy). If it won't run highway speeds then perhaps your troubleshooting will need to go deeper. Gut feeling is fuel (though we still are only guessing...

Will my 2005 FJR go up over a curb

Don't do it, the psychopath will be coming after you anyway (over that same curb); maybe a short burst of acceleration, hard brake and shoot for a quick reversal of direction.

AC Delco Battery Sale 1/2 Price

My A/C Delco is performing on par with the original GS and two replacement Westco batteries. I've only had the A/C in for seven months, so I can't comment on longevity, but cranking and other performance are good.

    06' Won't Start

Concur with the above posts; a good bet she'll start in the morning (after recharge).

    Heated grips or heated Gloves

I prefer heated gloves even with the inconveniences listed. My particular case is due to extremely cold hands (and feet) even when not riding; the gloves heat from above, and for me, do a better job. Probably for the vast majority of people heated grips will do just fine.

    FJR battery from Staab Battery

Perhaps Staab produces batteries for other manufacturers (my speculation here); the dry charge (and acid addition) is the same as the A/C Delco some of us bought from Amazon (a while back). So far my A/C Delco is performing well. (That was a special, Amazon had, when they were selling at 25...

    Fuel Injector Service

What are the units that are represented in the graph? Do you occasionally give the injectors a workout (high rpm at WOT)? I'm not 'dissing' your results just wondering about a couple of things.

    riding at high RPM's (6000-8000)

As long as you, warm up the oil before your rpm jaunts, have a ball; agreeing with all the previous advise too.

    You couldn't make it up.....................

True story: (happened to me) Painter getting ready to paint two bathrooms in a hall near where my lab was located. Me: You know that those two bathrooms are part of a renovation project that will eliminate them both and is to begin next week. Painter: Yeah I know but my boss told me to...

    Very cool.........................love it.

    Head-Up Display for Helmets

As with all the techno whizzbang stuff now in our autos (that have been added distractions), I think this would be a distraction to riding. JMO

    Is Ethanol "Losing Its Clout"?

One other denominator is the fuel system itself; most/more of the ethanol problems occur with open/vented systems, i.e. carburetored engines, where water (as in water vapor) can more easily enter the system. Closed systems, i.e. fuel injected engines with evaporative control circuits are less...

What to do with an R-8 Audi?

Takes 'two' to tango (in this case three); ***-hats all around.

    $83 oil change?

To the OP; just consider that for your 83 dollars you got a clutch soak (and a free oil change). Not a bad deal at all.

If there was one album, to make everyone here listen to, what would it be?

I don't think I could pick one artist (let alone one album); let's just say I'm glad I don't have to. Some artists not mentioned (but worthy IMO, and I'm still missing a bunch): Aerosmith, Boston, Chicago, etc....................

    Engine keeps dying

First thing; what is you idle speed. Should be between 1000 to 1100 rpms.

Truck wont start after fill up?

Have heard this can be caused by the evaporative system purge valve (as ionbeam refers); this can occur without a CEL code being set.
