I called my dealer today and he told me the dealer conference where info on the 2009 FJR will be revealed is being held September 7-10. So unless someone's got access to a source in Yamaha, color info and other changes to the '09 won't be available until then.
Hank,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family during this difficult time. As a parent I can only imagine the grief you all must be feeling. Prayers sent for the strength to cope during this difficult time. Chris
Silverstars pale in comparison (pun intended) to the PIAA Xtreme white bulbs I put in all three street bikes. I haven't had one burn out yet, and they put out alot more light without drawing more current. Definitely worth the greater price.

I've been running PR's for the past 3 years. I have not had any complaints with them. Only reason to consider the PR2 is mileage. I ride pretty hard and have not had trouble in corners. I ride as much as I can each year (15-20K)...
One look at Americade this past June revealed that the trike market is growing exponentially every year. I was amazed at the numbers of trikes compared to previous years.
I can't speak for the facts of this case, but sometimes prosecutors tell the police not to file charges immediately. If charges are immediately filed, certain statutory clocks start running that require hearings that need evidence sometimes not available in the early stages of collision...
My same thoughts as I read the post. I have a daughter about to be 18, and it's a little creepy (to me anyway) looking at women close in age to her. When the hell did I get so old? (I'm 49).
I'm very interested as I hope to buy one. I would have bought an '08, but much as I like black, I would prefer another color. My dealer tells me no details about the '09s will be revealed until the dealer meeting in August.
The Can Am comes with a vehicle stability system like many new cars have which modulates the throttle and each wheel of the brake system. The Piaggio system is unique that once underway the front suspension will allow the scooter to lean, so it's not like a conventional trike or the Spyder.
WW,
Thanks for sharing a well written nicely photographed tech piece. I removed the system on my FJR as well but left the diverter solenoid in the system with the hose ends capped. My concern was that the ECU would not see the valve and thus trigger a fault code. Anyone ever have such an...
I was at Americade a couple of weeks ago and met up with a few guys that ride Harleys. They said they were going to demo V-rods and asked me to join them. After we got back they all asked what I thought of the power as they were obviously impressed. I told them honestly that this was the bare...
I have a cat-gutted Gen I headpipe that I would like to install on a Gen II. The Yamaha part numbers are different, and Dale Walker's catless headpipe fits Gen IIs if the a centerstand bolt is clearanced. But looking at Dale's pipe it does not have the additional bolt mount by the cat shells...
I live right next to Danbury in Southeast and no longer take the Taconic. For the past couple of years I have been taking Rt 22 all the way up and then cutting over. It's a great ride and 22 only gets better as you head north. My gameplan was to go up on Saturday and tour the area a bit...
I'm going up but I have to leave Thursday. My former boss is being honored at a bar association dinner and I'm presenting him with a plaque. But anything prior to that I'd be up for.
I tried the Silverstars and thought the improvement was minimal. I then went to the PIAA Xtreme white plus and noticed a big improvement. The light is like the bulb wattage is higher just as they claim. I switched all four of my bikes to the PIAA bulbs. Big light improvement and they're...
