    FJR for two up

We have done a few 2-up trips in excess of 2,000 miles (and two 10-day trips over 3,000 miles) and the FJR suits us fine. Granted, we're loaded to the gills and neither of us will be appearing on The Biggest Loser this season but to say the FJR is not suited for 2-up cross-country travel is not...

    CFO 2009

Still a slight bit early for leaf-peeping in full color at that time of year ... but the riding is nice!

    Carrying a Roller Board

I like how this guy attached his rollerboard. link But you're looking for a mount that is more permanent and secure than bungees or straps, correct?

Going across the USA on my motorcycle

He was too busy getting to the next food and smooch stop than to ride on two laners! Well, he did ride The Dragon ... in between meals! ;)

Damn dog ate my bike (again)

Sometimes pets suck. But I'm most concerned about this... My recommendation is to not let him inside the house for awhile. Dogs with well-lubricated, leaky ***** don't do well with carpet.

    2009 Utah 1088

I am really tempted to plan the rest of my 2009 PTO so I can attend this rally. Based on previous years, any prediction when the 75 spots will be taken and registration will close?

What's "High Mileage" for an FJR

Definitely a question without an answer. You're going to get alot of opinions. I agree with you that the original owner takes the biggest vehicle depreciation hit and I think you would be wise to keep riding the bike for another two or more years. The more miles you put on the bike, you...

    Mom: "Motorcycle killed my son"

I'm sorry to hear about the loss but where is the boundary for unreasonable speed? If 120mph is too fast, then why not 100, or 80? Also, there are differing levels of maturity, but I don't call 30 yr olds "kids". Her son was 20 and old enough to buy a bike ... but made a poor decision, both...

Going across the USA on my motorcycle

I too would like to hear the stats from this trip. For example, total miles ridden, number of states visited, amount of calories consumed, number of kisses from women of the "service" industry, etc. Fun report! :clapping:

    HELP...help wheaton get bike started

Glad to hear the problem was fixed. Question for you (but there's a chance I missed a mention of this in the thread) .... did you happen to wash the bike before you put it away a few weeks ago? Twice, I've experienced high pressure water impacting the start function in a way that only a WOT...

Any Veterans know the answer to this question?

 I have heard of an order protocol before but I don't know if it's true. I found this protocol for flag displays (under letter "e" and near the top of the outline) but I don't know if it necessarily applies to seals. I don't see why it wouldn't. (Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on this...

Alcohol & Ape Hangers Don't mix

It's still a shame. I went for a ride yesterday. The weather wasn't exactly beautiful and, although I didn't see many bikes on the roads, I saw many cruisers parked in front of the "watering holes." For some reason, that always amazes me. Do so few people give a second thought to alcohol...
