There were a couple of members a few years back trying to do some motor work on the FJR. I don't remember them having much luck. Even though most of us were crotch rocket guys the intended purpose of the bike is different. Probably a lot of cost and not much gain.

Hey Don, Those are pretty typical F & S fees. Mostly cost recovery as you know! D & H is pretty amazing settling for such a small profit on a" HOT "new unit! Maybe a quarterly hold back on the back side will help out.

Our bikes really do well on fuel in Colorado. I rarely ever drop below 50 mpg. Even in the lower elevations of northern Idaho & Washington where my wife's from the bike still got 48 - 50 mpg. That is pretty stellar for a bike this size and weight.

Well covered advice. Those mirror brackets can bend and be hard to see until you adjust the mirrors. Accidents happen, they should be happy to make it right!
