My ordered K1600GT gets LED DRL's upgrade

I just received notice that my ordered 2013 K1600GT will include the just released DUAL intensity angel eyes LED headlight system. Basically it shuts off the HID headlight and intensifys the angel eyes (now DRL's) for better oncoming visibility. A camera/sensor is mounted (hidden in the lower windshield) for auto trigger, advantages besides the better visibility include long LED lifespan and almost no power consumption. My take, it just looks bad ***!

The Metallic Gray actually shows darker than the outside crated pics...

The other '13 color (GT model) is our every so familiar Bass Boat Blue...

Good thing. The GTs I have ridden with have been horrendous in the visibility department in daylight.

Thanks Skoot and your right on, the HID headlight is so directional they needed this enhancement.

...the more and more I look at that Bass-Boat-Blue I'm starting to feel sum love. hmmmm, Mr. Dealer can we?..... (lol)

I wanna keep it. G/F is having a friggn fit, we actually got into it last night at a bar, she was juiced a bit so the ship hit the fan. She now says my toys can't even be counted with by both hands (I'm thinking she meant over 10 then?)... lmao! AND- She may be history if she keeps her crap up h34r: and I don't count her (probably) 100 pairs of shoes! ... I know, ditch the *****; but she does hold value as bedroom talent

The "Metallic Blue" is better in person, the metal flake is lost in the pics TBH. I do have a SeaDoo GTX Limited Edition w/ the exact same color and it's still in my stable and gets ridden a lot. Peeps really compliment that Ski... so hmmmmm?

Well that's my ordered in bike but I haven't drove her home yet, so 95% sure it's staying as the "Metallic Graphite". But... that blue in real life is pretty sweet

A just reread my post. I'm thinking update the headlight for you?... awww hell, Don, just buy a whole new freeqn bike! Hey, the new digital speedo (optionally displayed where the "6" was is pretty nice also).

**Pickup/deliv update**

Went up this Saturday only to get shot down by not only my g/f (expected) by my 16 yr old son as well!. They did NOT like the metallic graphite at all! Once my son called it "battle ship gray" I re-looked at the bike with a big ole... yeah, ship (no pun intended!) your freekn right! All my built up excitement got flushed down the crapper. The only other '13 that came in was a Red GTL but I want the sportier GT so now my only other color choice is the bass boat blue :angry: These are the only real pics (not factory simulated crap) I could find, sure want to see it in person however!

This ones got both their (pic wise) approval and mine too (I guess, argh!). Very disappointed but once the battle ship gray got tagged to the bike I was limp on the looks as well. CRAP! I now have switched my order to a Metallic Blue w top case, and included the lower faring ('13 new option) LED foglights. Snowmobile season is upon me now so this will now become a spring shipment. My dealer says up to 5 months, but I may have a few Bimmer revisions incorporated so might be worth the wait. Kinda sux, I was easily going to get in some GT fall riding. Not anymore! :huh:
