Yes, especially with all the pressure to fly the C130. That's an amazing plane,they were around before the C141's I worked on in the sixties. Definitely standing the test of time.

This is the worst fire season that I can remember in Colorado. We usually don't see many 100 degree days here let alone a week straight. That is right behind Garden of the Gods, beautiful canyon ride up towards Woodland Park. The winds had kicked up to 65 mph breaching a protective fire line...

That's beautiful, great paint! The new height actually makes the tank look shorter. You can get a tired butt between fill ups.

I found it very hard to not ruin the paint on the rear & sides of the tank without some kind of protection. Admittedly I am an anal type about the appearance of my bike & vehicles. They cost so much might as well take good care of them!!

That's about right for highway speeds. Slow traffic will allow the temp to climb sometimes to where the fans come on. FJR's have really stable engine temps overall.

Same results for me, so I use it on areas like the bottom of the fairing. When I had a bag lid painted my painter here couldn't get the mix he needed so I bought Colorite Black Cheery and it turned out great. Could be the painter though! The paint was very expensive too.

Check out Bandelero State Park not far from Sante Fe. The park is beautiful and you can climb up in the Kivas on original style ladders. The ride is in a nice canyon as I remember, it's been about 8 years since I was there. Have a great time.

That seat is a lot different than stock. Maybe more comfortable?

The only other way to get that noise would be to pull the air valve and lock the rears, which is fun when no ones around and your pulling in to the shop!!

Rav.....It is probably the air brake drier that blows off every so often to free the system of moisture. I used to run big snowplows and until they came out with this system our brakes would freeze a lot.

I messed up that post, good eye. That,s what I was curious about. Some magazines like Diesel Power have enormous amount of adds, almost more than the text. Interesting stuff.

I have a four year old 450 that has been flawless. I don't know as much about these units as you guys do. I never use the music capability either, just listen to the wind! The good thing is this unit has taken me through western Canada and a lot of the US so for me it is fine. Over at the Zumo...
