Thinking about taking a nice Ride this Sunday. I'm stuck in Montana this week on biz again but looks like Sunday will be nice in the NKY area. I normally just tool around whatever roads I think look good and rely on GPS to return me home. I'm thinking maybe exploring either SE Ohio depending...
Excellent. Give me a holla if you guys get a plan on. Would love to hook up for the ride down. Don't really care about the route, I'll do whatever. Not sure what Renegade is planning yet but might want to give him a shout also. Also a couple posts above JRD14 might be looking for some...
While the "lean surging" at low speed/rpm was common on the 06 it was no where near what you describe. I did experience some of the surging on my new 06 also but it wasn't dramatic enough to cause me concern whilst riding at slow speed. Just one of those things you deal with.
I would suggest...
Very sorry to hear about this. Take care Scab, lots of excellent healing energy coming from the boards you way!
Jeff, do you know if there is anything that Mrs. Scab needs to help her out?
Haven't been on the forums in a couple months due to crappy work travel schedule as of late but.....
Looks like I'm in for EOM and will be heading down from Northern Kentucky just south of Cincinnati. Should be able to leave anytime Thursday or possibily Wednesday night if necessary.
Would...
Hmm...pretty stock for me still. Although I suspect this is mostly due to the fact that I received the bike late September and have been some extensive traveling for work the last two months.
I did manage the Barbarian MOD which was tremendous. I've yet to brave the throttle spring MOD but...
Doing some searching on GPS' here but nothing really pertaining to the two devices I have access to.
I guess the question is does anyone have any opinions or experience with either:
1. Magellan 6000T
Or
2. Garmin Nuvi 360 ?
I know neither of those are technically the "motorcycle" version...
Forgot to mention one more tidbit about the detuned French engines. Everyone knows that due to the lack of horsepower in those engines, in combination with the rotational Inertia created by the shaft drive that the French versions can't do wheelies.
Well there's a few of us floating around here in KY land. Come spring we should setup a ride and get some of us out there together.
Good fun.
Just be respectful of that throttle. She has a lot to offer. :-)
Get the Feej. You won't regret it. Agreed, it doesn't have R1 handling..but then again..It just does everything so well. That's not apples to apples anyway.
It handles extremely well for a bike its size and when you twist that throttle, you're given a lesson in respect. Unleash that beast...
