    Republic, WA // eateries

Good info, thanks! I don't understand how you could be starving. I thought the point of that Smuggler was to be full of 'emergency pie'?

    Republic, WA // eateries

You made me look! I was thinking of checking out Hwy20 after the Kootenay Gut Buster (WCR2). Republic looks like an interesting spot for a sleepover. I would check out the brewery. https://www.republicbrew.com/index.html From their site: 'There are four establishments serving food within a...

What did you do to your FJR today?

I think I must have a mild case of OCD. My bike is running perfectly, zero problems - that I know of. However, the other day it occurred to me that I have never done any maintenance to the final-drive system, other than looking at it when I did a tire change and a differential oil change. I...

    I Couldnt Believe It.

Sounds like a 'one off', at the moment. My friend Google came up with this: https://forums.officer.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-125701.html

    Stock spring length

That would have been my guess also. So, looks like Auron has his answer.

    Stock spring length

Hmmm. The Gen2 Bin-o'-Facts says Gen1 and Gen2 springs are the same length, just different specs. If it helps, here are my Gen1 'stockers' - 10.5" or 26.7cm or 267mm'ish. But I just noticed the tape measure is Australian. Al.

    Garmin Map Updates

I have a Zumo 220 that came with the lifetime North America map. It updates regularly, though I have no idea what the updates are? The only obvious one was when they opened the Golden Ears Bridge over the Fraser River, the GPS showed me riding across a field and about to plunge into the river...

Thanks Riona. Excellent pictures of spectacular scenery. The more I see of WA, the more I like it. The people are OK too. Al.

    Kootenay Butt Buster

I'm in, I'll bring beer!! Couldn't find my current favorite IPA in the Kootenays a couple of weeks back, so I'm stocking up. Harry (Harnic) will be there, but he's a 'no-meat-atarian' - but still a nice guy. Thanks Griff. Al.

    Beers Worthy of a Destination

That brew sounds disgusting - but I'd like to try it sometime. Actually, most of their brews are different. OK, it's on my list.

Why I decided to Start Doing the Work Myself

Way to go! I feel sorry for those who either can't, or won't, do their own work. There must be lots of 'em, as the dealerships always seem busy.

Repost Report with Pictures_Nature is Calling Me Back to B.C._Trip Report on Okanogan Hwy and British Columbia

We're trying to help him with his pics. I think he is trying to upload from his computer? https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/153523-help-posting-pictures/?do=findComment&comment=1082365 Anyway. Sounds like you had a great trip. Next time you are up this way shoot me a PM. I agree...

    Wife's new bike

A good choice, it appears to fit her well. My buddy has one and loves it, but he's a 'short ***' and had to have it lowered. That F800GT looks nice, I'll have to read up on it. Thanks.

WTB - Rear Brake Disc (2003)

Spotted this ad on CL the other day. https://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/mcy/3899466381.html The seller is in Langley, BC. He has a disc in good shape, wants $25, but he's not interested in shipping it. Not sure when I'd be going down that way, but if I do I'll let you know. Al.
