    Transport Canada

I have never had any problems with the CAN border crossing back and forth. I guess I need to look more sinister.

    Rolling Stall

+1 on the Niehart suggestion. When I had it happen to me the idle was at 950 post a TBS. I didn't check it post , and assumed it would stay at 1100. I corrected it and all was well.

    Ready to pull the trigger

The AE is just not being imported to N. America at least for 2010. It is available just about everywhere else in the 2008 Gray color and 2009 Black A color. Considering they jacked up the price in a bad economy on the A's in 2010, I suspect they would have sold for about 17k USD , too much IMO...

    Ready to pull the trigger

I was faced with a similar situation. Arthritic hands , but add a fused left ankle. I went with the AE, I could shift the A without any problems, but after considering I was not going to get younger, and I wanted it for long rides it was a no brainer for myself.

Saving $$$: Gig Harbor, WA to Tulsa, OK This Summer

I bet if you post your route , a lot of forum members would let you drop by for the night. As far as campgrounds some KOA's have these little cabins to stay in that are not bad.

    Am I being too ambitious?

One thing I have noticed about myself , 500 in the first day is easy the 2nd i drop off a bit and by the 3rd day I am at 300-350. That seems to be my "long" comfort level.

What happens if cigarette lighter gets wet?

My suggestion is go to a marine supply store and pick one up , they are made to get wet and swap it , should be easy since it is already wired.

    The Who ROCKED halftime

I liked it but I did miss not seeing John Entwistle and Keith Moon they added a lot. Moon looked like a madman , and Entwistle was a fantastic bass player, may they RIP. Next year maybe Ozzy if he can find the location :dribble: ! I like some of the newer bands as well , I love music if it...

    Highway 36 to 3 to 299

36 is a great road. However I almost lost it once on it, watch out for the low sun in the summer , I was flying blind when the sun gets low. WFO is in a great area to ride, I am looking forward to it.

Ride with Papa Chuy to San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico; ese

I sounds like a great trip. Post discharge from the military in the early 1970's , right after 1 opened I went down to Baja. I stayed for weeks in Santa Rosalia , Mulege and spent most of my time in Bahia de los Angeles. It was so beautiful and laid back. We went in a '64 International Pickup...

    A few mods completed...

Looks really good , Alexi. I would be careful with the 12v that water can't get in it, I can't tell if it has a cap on it.

    Buying a 07FJR Tommorrow

The book says 39 , I run mine at 42 front and back. Look at wear patterns ,how it handles etc. Adjust the suspension, it is easy and outlined in the book. The bike when setup right is a very good handling bike

    WFO-9 LOCATION !!!

+1 for Samoa Cookhouse, we need to meetup there for sure. I love the area, the weather I am use to it. I just don't like the wind on the coast sometimes , it can be wicked.

First ticket in over 10 years...

I am sure the Golden State thanks you for the contribution. I got nailed a couple years ago in Pleasant Hill for not stopping long enough, and there were no cars anywhere around me. Cha-Ching!

    First Service

The FAQ's and Bin O' Facts are a big help. In the manual it lists all that they check. The first service is not much except , oil and a check up as to tightness of some nuts and bolts, free movement of some parts and such. It is a good time to ask them how to do a check of the bike if you wish...

    I'm PISSED !!

I wonder if he is still pissed? My biggest fear is soft asphalt. The wider foot is a good idea that is being sold on the board , or the old beer can method.

Puget Sound Safety advance street skills course

I am taking the Lee Parks class from them. IMO, they are the best in the area. Bret Tkacs that runs it has an FJR too. They have classes ( seminars really) every month and they know what they are taking about. People I trust that have taken the class you are considering really like it. PM me and...
