    AE Review online

I think it depends on where and why type of riding you plan to do. For Los Angeles traffic (stop-n-go), I wouldn't want anything but my AE. However, for longer rides on the weekend, the A might be the better choice - especially for riding twisty roads. All-in-all though, I'd still take my AE...

    flashing "low fuel"

Thanks everyone. When I stopped to fill I had about 15 miles to home. So it would have been around 35-40 on the flashing light which seems to be "okay" based on reports posted here. My miles were freeway so I do not necessarily have a problem extending my range to 40ish; especially after only...

    flashing "low fuel"

Okay, I rode for about 20 miles with the flashing "low fuel" indication. Filled her up with 5.5 gallons. If I'm not mistaken, it'll hold about 6.4 gallons. Is it me or does that seem like a rather early "warning"? I'm trying to determine how much I actually have in the tank when I get the...

    Helibars

I agree. At first I thought I needed something like the Helibars for my 2006. Still working on my "mastery" of the Master Yoda position but it helped alot. I didn't realize how much I was placing all of my weight on my hands/wrists. My shoulders (especially right one) couldn't last more than...

    Lowering the FJR

I have the Corbin on my 2006 AE and would agree 100% with this - overall stance has not changed with the seat. It is, though, IMO more comfortable than the stock seat. BTW, bounce... :thumbsdownsmileyanim: you crossed the line with that post.

New or Used - Los Angeles area dealers

Where I bought mine. Inventory can be hit-and-miss but by far the lowest price I could find on my AE. No haggle though - the price they have is the price you pay. I even went to a dealer closer to me with LA Cycle's price to see if they could at least come close... wouldn't move off of...

    What did you ride pre-FJR

Indeed the "extra add-on" you can get with custom bikes is nice, very nice. :clapping:

    What did you ride pre-FJR

Thanks. Yes, I sold her. One of those things... had it parked at a custom chopper dealership/shop and someone who saw it in the parking lot "made an offer I could not refuse." Literally sold her in about 20 minutes, had the money (ca$h) within 48 hours.

    What did you ride pre-FJR

Prior to my 2006 FJR1300AE: 2004 Big Bear Choppers Venom ProStreet. Built her myself. :D

Fair OTD for an 06 1300AE in Ca?

that doesn't make any sense.... as liberal as California is, I wonder if anyone has challenged this...

Fair OTD for an 06 1300AE in Ca?

:stop: That is completely wrong UNLESS the bike has been registered. If it has, then it is not "new" anymore. It is a "used" bike.
