    Front wheel bearing failure

Good call on getting off of the bike before the front wheel gave up, any substantial movement at all and at the very least the rotors would have been bound up in the calipers and locked up! I agree with WC, in the application on the front wheel, it would be nearly impossible to get out the...

    HIDs v/s halogens

FJR, about 165 MPH Light, about 669,600,000 MPH I think you'll be Okay. :yahoo:

    HIDs v/s halogens

There is simply no comparison, my opinion, HIDs are the only way to go. Some members here have taken before and after pictures that are good examples but in no way give the full effect. If you are doing any night riding to speak of they are without question the way to go. I have also noticed...

Come to NAFO, maybe win some tires...

Ok, I'll take 4. But I really think it will be 9.

Guide to Removing the Air Induction System

Is there any possibility the air being introduced into the exhaust is for the catalytic converters, has any body looked at those after the mod as been done? If I remember WW I think took them out but was wondering if any body else has seen a difference. The reason I ask is because I had an old...

    Galfer Wave Rotor Stutter

Sorry you're having problems, mine have been on for over 5000 miles with no probs. Maybe you just got a bad set?

    GPS Power

Me too, and some of my song files are kind of small, and there are well over a 1000 songs on that SD card. (that still blows me away) No problems what so ever. But to the topic, my Zumo is wired to key power and is not inhibited when the starter is used. For me that works the best as I use my...

    Garage Door Opener

I have this and it works great. The door opener where I keep my bike is about 12 years old and was no problem but I'm not sure it would work for the new garage door opener I just put in for the cars. BTW, Harley offers this as an option on their bikes for $300!

anyone put a cruise control here?

I think I saw somewhere back somebody else mounted their CC servo there as well. I considered it as well but I was afraid that more frequent exposure to possible water might have an effect. Hopefully that wont be a problem. I don't think you need to worry too much about heat as they are...

    Now ain't this a b*tch!!!

Sorry about your bike, sounds like insurance will cover you pretty well. You might think about some aftermarket cans and maybe that will cover the deductible as most are cheaper than factory. Hopefully you got a little from the gf for all your troubles.......

    riding without tank collar

I think 6 weeks is kinda long for the paint to cure. I had clear bra on a car and when the fender got creamed they replaced it within days. But I admit I'm no painter. I think for that piece of your bike you could easily do it your self. xpel.com sells it by bulk and it's the good 3m stuff...

    Headlight Upgrade

So far I love my HIDs, I also got some of the smaller ballasts and they have been flawless for nearly 7000 miles. Would never go back to regular bulbs.

    FJR corbin seat

I have the Corbin seat (heated) and Smuggler for my 07'A. When I got the smuggler ther were some deformities with the paint form what appeared to have been packaged a little soon after painting. Corbin was very good on the return and so far have had zero problems. The seat is very comfortable...

    ECU Recal Resets Milage?

My local dealer here in Salt Lake has a brand new 07'A (black cherry) on the floor, probably could get it for a good price. South Valley Yamaha, 801-576-1899 Matt Smiltcheck is one of their dealers that has given me some great deals, and no ********. Let me know if I can help.

My upper triple tree bracket fractured!

Zorlac, The fasteners for the ignition key are security bolts that I suspect are put in and then the head is snapped off. Just dimple them with a center punch and drill them out. If you run into troubles getting an upper triple clamp let me know, I have one I can send you. I installed a Heli...
