+1, at 1050 rpm my AE stays in gear at idle from a deceleration. I actually didnt like this and dropped it to about 1000 and that is where the bike drops out of gear. I would think raising the idle up around 1050 would make the box a little less challenging.

Ive had the bead in my roadsmarts for almost 6k miles now. Ride is as smooth as the day the tires were new. I love the beads, great ride and no ugly wieghts hanging off my rims

I had the same issue with my 06, It started after I installed my center mount for the ZUMO, I didnt even think to check torque on the stem nut, I just figured it was there to cover the top nut of the steering head bearing, DUH, I was new to wrenching. Eventually I clued in, Torqueing that...

Im 100% with Skooter on this one. They can have the dam thing, I wouldn't want it back. Insurance is a wonderful thing and I like the idea of changeiing colors now and then!

Ill say it one more time just in case you missed the first 2 times, :headbonk: change your plugs, I know they may be brand new, so were mine, just change them. Iridium worked for me.

My dealer gave me crap about it as well, I called Yamaha Customer Service and they contacted the dealer. The dealer ended up rekeying the ignition switch.

Throttle spring release got rid of the problem for me. I also installed a Throttle Meister, getting your hand off the grip for 30 secs makes up for an hour of riding for me.

I wired mine stright into a switched fuse. I think I used the switched side of the horn fuse. I just puled the fuse, folded the red wire from the zumo around the one terminal and shoved the fuse back in. I made sure to do it on the hot side of the fuse so as not to draw on the fuse for power...

I told him I was getting it, never told him I had it and it was already installed. I believe I would remove it if I had to go for warrenty service, not worth the possiblility of a hassle and if by some chance they remember me mentioning it I'd just say it was too expensive and changed my mind...

Mines an 06, again, new plugs, problem solved.

+1 About 1500 cold and was at 900 warm, I raised the warm idle up to about 1050, it makes the transition from 1st gear to gliding a little less abrupt in slow, parking lot manuvers. At 1500rpm the AE will let you shift from nuetral just fine without launching you :)

Mine was actually missing when I first got it. It was only when cold and was a hard enough hit that I could feel it vibrate thru the bike. A new set of plugs eliminated it. I installed Iridiums at 4k miles and at 12k it still hasnt missed again.

Yup, between being hyper and illiterate I was typeing in moNolights. Those puppies are over $300.00! I was shocked :blink:

I didnt replace mine with BMW grips when I did the G2, but with Stock heated grips I didnt need anything, I just used an airhose to get them back over and they are on there tight. At the time, the forum members were recomending HAIRSPRAY if they slipped though.
